We're less than a month away!!! Are you all ready for the ACTION!!!!!

As every year, spectators from the internet billiard forum community, members of the AZBilliards, CCBoard, InsidePOOLmag.com and the OnePocket.Org forums will have the opportunity to vote for the upcoming 2008 Derby City Classic Louis Roberts Action and Entertainment Award.

This award goes to the person that is deemed to exemplify the meaning of action and entertainment throughout their attendance at the 2007 Derby City Classic. It could be as a player, backer, woofer, or all of the above. So make sure you pay attention to the action. If you don't know who or what you're watching, ask someone.

For more information on the award, here's the writeup at Steve Booth's OnePocket.Org site for last year's winner:

Fred,

I have voted for the eventual second in this for the last two years. This year, I'm gonna pay more attention as I had to agree with the choices once they were made.

Watching and participating in the "action" is one of the most entertaining things in pool today. No wonder we get no sleep for the week!

Great job on this. Louie would love it....

Thanks for the info on AZ room. I sent it in this morning.

I can't wait, but I guess I have to. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One thing you can say about Harold "Hitman" MacAbee is that he culled no one and bet his own. Always in action. He deserves consideration again this year.

You are right on this one. No one can say he does not have a heart the size of a grapefruit. I can't wait. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Fred <~~~ needs to find out who McAbee is.

Harold is Tuscaloosa Squirrel's protoge' from the same. Great guy and as said, tons of heart. Harold brought Marshall with him to DCC last year. Hope they are there together this year too.

Fred,

It may get to the point that we have to have name tags for the action figure heros. /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gifI have heard he will be back this year and with even more cash. I'll see if my Tusculossa boys can find out for sure.
