Synthetic Leather?

Can someone possibly define what the BCA means by synthetic leather? Seems as if this might be a real sticky question from time to time(IMO.) I mean, who's the expert that gets to decide simulated leather and not an illegal material? sid

I've always assumed that synthetic leather was obtained from synthetic cows, synthetic pigs, synthetic lizards, etc.--but the BCA should tighten up their writing on this one.
