Ebay And Genuine Falcon SP, HELP

I found one of the Falcon sneakys I've been looking for on Ebay, seller with good ratings and sales, so I got it. here's the deal, and the question: The butt length is 28". I compared it to three others locally, exact same looking cosmetics and Falcon stamp but bought more than 5 years back from a known reputable friend, and theirs all measured 28.75"(at the joint, not the pin.)

Is it concievable that a company like Falcon would have made a shorter butt, hence more shaft, model of the same "looks-like-a-wallstick" cue?

Ebay seller responded with this to me today:

it's 100% an early falcon production, made by Falcon company.

How far would you pursue this, if at all. Secondly, does anyone recognize this contact info for Falcon?

It costs nothing to email falcon.com so I probably would. I doubt they'd be all that helpful since they probably don't have any authorized sellers on eBay. Just check their authorized sellers list on their site to be sure though.

Thanks, I did e-mail Falcon with the generic questions about their manufacture process. With so many cue persons, I thought maybe somebody would have some idea of whether a non-custom cue making place, like Falcon, would vary a simple SP from year to year. Either way it works out, I can live with it...sid
