I wish the above was a video instead of a book. I've tried looking at safeties in books and did not "get it".

But I ordered the few safety videos available from accu-stats.com, watched these, then did "get it".

Also having another player show me some very slow safeties helped a lot.

I know different people learn differently. And for some people a book might be better, but for this, I think seeing the speed of stroke used and hearing an explanation of what the shooter is trying to accomplish is very helpful to myself.
