The Shiite Cleric, al Sadr, has stated that he will not continue the cease fire when it expires saturday.

This is very bad news.

He extended it for six months, a great sign of success. It not only shows the good the surge has done from a military standpoint but, more importantly, the politics are beginning to work as the Shites are wanting to play a role. The few that have broken away form him on this shows the weakness of their position in the Arab world.

I pray it continues to hold.
