There is a new movie called "Turn The River" written and directed by Chris Eigeman that is being realeased in a month or two.
I mention it because it has pool as one of it's main story lines and has a lot of pool in it.
It stars Famke Janssen (Jane Gray in X-Men) as a blue collar type woman who gambles at pool and poker. She finds out her son is being beat up by her ex-husband who got custody of the kid because of her gambling. She then plans to win money so she can take him into Canada for a better life. It's a great story with a great cast of top notch actors.
Chris Eigeman the director has acted in tons of films and on TV. He is also a brilliant director. He knows the pool and poker worlds and it really shows.
One pocket and 9-Ball are played and Famke does all her own shooting. She is amazing in it. (Her acting and pool playing!!!)
The film won best screenplay for Chris and best acting award for Famke at the Hampton Film Festival.
Just wanted to put the word out there and hope you all see go to see it.
