I cruised by the Predator site ( www.predatorcues.com (http://www.predatorcues.com) ), and maybe I didn't dig enough, but. . .

It occurred to me that I had no idea what "314" related to.

Anyone know?

Hmmmmmm, good thing they didn't invent them in the South, they might have wound up as "the Mrs Smith's shaft". . . .

Sorry Tom, wrong kind of pie. PIE-shaped is the shape of a piece of pie. PI is the relationship of the diameter of a circle to it's circumfrence. Jim R.

[b]The darn thing was conceived on March 14th, at the 3rd hour and 14th minute by 3 engineers and 14 technical assistants after 3 tries and 14 revisions to their final numbers. They were given 3 days to come up with the idea and, they had to write the report 14 times before they could fool 3.14 million players in the world! The shaft was tested by 3 pros and 14 amateur players, with 3 favorable views and 14 complaints. And to top it off, the darn thing only costs $3.14 to produce!

That is why it is known as 314!

Sorry Tom, Didn't mean to offend. I thought the original question was valid, it looks like nobody on this site knows the answer. Again I'm sorry for trying to stick to the original post. Jim R.
