I am wondering if there are any Pool Playing Hams (Amateur Radio Operators) on this forum...

I think I asked this same question a year or so ago, and got no response. I was interested in hooking up at the BCA Nationals in 'Vegas by handheld. They have a nice repeater on top of the Tropicana Hotel that allows coverage over the entire strip with my IC-Q7.

I got licensed in '91, upgraded to tech-plus a couple years ago. Now I have no acquaintances who are active, so I let my license expire last year.

I think the future of Amateur Radio may be bleaker then pool...

Not that I HAM it up at all 'cause I dont...but I had a huge C.B. system {2000 watt linear competition tuned} in my P/U truck in the early 90's. Traveling up and down the east coast, it helped me stay clear of those horrible BLUE LIGHTS!! I could get police report up to 125 miles in any direction...HAHAHA.
