Analysis of Golf Shots (sorta on topic)

I found this recent analysis on golf games, in particular what separates bad from good ones, to be interesting because of the parallels to pool. Research conducted by a Columbia Univ professor, discussed by Bill Pennington:

In particular, the comments on "awful shots per round", seemed to have great relevance to billiards. My game, anyway.

Very interesting I don’t play golf but I do miss long shots and that is what kills me in tournaments. When I am on that is what wins me $.

Good article. Yes, I think golf is very similar to pool. The faster you move your arm (or arms), the greater the effect of the flaws in your mechanics.
