Today Iím going to be playing in a tournament at GrandBilliards.com (http://www.grandbilliards.com)to win, get this, a laser cue.
I never played with a laser cue before and I think it will help improve my game. What do you think about laser cues? Do you use them? Did playing with really improve your playing skill?

In any case, I heard there are going to be other free events, and since I love to play there, I thought I would let you guys know about it.
By the way, I was advised by their customer support person to send in ideas for prizes that I would like to win so they will offer them, pretty cool huh?

I have not used a laser cue. Some have used a laser cue and found it helpful. However, I am certain there are better ways to learn to shoot better pool than with a laser cue.

Ideas for prizes:
Nickel and dime Willard shapers
Karseal cue wax
Microfiber towels
Masters chalk in various colors
Pool lessons

I'm not so sure it would have helped your game, or anyone's game..
What helped my game was using a method similar to the S.A.M. system that the SPFF instructors teach. I don't have that system down pat, but I try to visualize angles, instead of contact points.
S.A.M. teaches exact aims for various angles....(hope that is a decent explanation...Scott Lee, Steve (poolteacher) and RandyG CCB, all members here, and SPFF instructors...offer the S.A.M.system along with the spff method)
here's another use for a laser cue:
