It's called patriotism when a RW nut says it. Imagine if a Democratic had stood up on the Senate Floor, and stated that a Bush program, (HCR) was a greater threat to the country than al Qaeda? I don't know which one is the most insane, Bachmann, or Virginia Foxx, from North Carolina, ha ha ha, no surprise there.

Fact is, Bush's policies were a greater threat to America, than al Qaeda!

How about Bachmann? Calling for investigations of what she calls unamerican elected officials? She's just a few inches away from McCarthy!

BTW, Capital Hill Police are furious with Bachmann right now. She did not apply through propper channels for organizing an influx of visitors.

We should dress both of them up as quail, and anchor them in the woods at Cheney's Eastern Shore property.

Chopstick,

Well, with only 20% of America claiming to be Republican, I guess those three races in New Jersey, Virginia and New York tonight are sewed up for the Democrats. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

With 78% favoring health care reform with a Public Option and Obama with a 65% approval rating, it is just a matter of time until not a single Republican is left in Washington or in any of the State Governments. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Jack,

You do have to admit that the right wing idiots who might harm Obama are about as likely to get close to him as the senate is to find a Democratic Congressman guilty of taking bribes! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I do think, like when Bush was demonised, we risk a nut case going off and doing something stupid but you just can't get one side to stop when their candidate is in office and not stand up when your's is in.

Let's just hope that both sides, if they excite anyone, do so with the "Gang that counldn't Shoot Straight" like most of the clowns we have seen trying to do terrorism lately. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

dang it, I been saving that "gang...." line for just the right, no pun intended, occasion.
I really do think that the President could be targeted by some nut case, fueled by the daily anti-Obama tirades, the main topic on Fox news now. In a more intolerant society...Beck, the chief looney over there, and from his photo on the cover of his book, a Nazi lover?...Beck would be the first one shot....they might even force Bill to do it before stringing him up by the balls. Sean is rather a harmless twit, they might let him live out his life scrubbing toilets.
If only I could make my dreams come true....

They put out a statistic last night. 31% of Fox news viewers are democrats and that number is greater than CNN and MSNBC viewers combined. So, I guess they are just there to take notes on that Fox is doing wrong.

Gayle would you like the number for Beck's red phone? Maybe you can straighten him out. It doesn't look like Chairman Dunn is going to call.

The same is true for every president this country has ever had. That's why they have Secret Service protection. And it has nothing to do with right or left. (Remember someone taking a shot at RR?} Anyone in that position is going to pizz off someone. Of course, the more they disenfranchise, the greater the odds.

Gee, thanks for educating me about that....I didn't know we had a secret service, other then Blackwater.
My point was....that The Nazi style daily orations emanating from Fox, put this President at a greater risk of becoming a target, then many past Presidents.Bush was hated, but hated by rational men. Given the fact that President Obama is bi-racial , branded as an illegal immigrant, and also labeled as "The Manchurian Candidate" by Fux; then adding in the false reports that he will take your bank account and liquid assets, as well as your first born, and every rw nutjob will come crawling out of the woodwork....
I hope the Lord will forgive me for replying to you, after I took a sacred oath not to.....now I'll have to go to the local dominatrix for my cleansing punishment, or just wear my hair shirt for a couple of days.....

If, and please note I said "if", someone tried, although I'm sure you would love to blame FOX, the actual blame would be with Obama himself, and his radical socialist policies, and his attitude that he is president and he can do whatever he pleases.

While I certainly don't advocate violence, I can see where some might feel that is their best recourse.

Personally, I like the idea of a revolution at the voting booth. And I hope it's a very big one!!!

Forgive me, Lord....to make up for violating my sacred oath again... I won't eat meat on Fri, during lent...
The gist of your post reads to me......that if an attempt is made on President Obama's life.....it will be himself to blame and not the shooter's....(.because, because, because....of the terrible things he does/ we're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz)
the President will bear the blame because he will be promoting policies that the shooter does not agree with?? Yes, that's exactly what you are saying.
That's like praising James Kopp as a hero for killing someone he disliked. Hey, here's a thought...you and llotter could start your own blog....you would have readers, as I would turn both your names into the FBI.
And you don't advocate violence, but you would agree it is the best recourse for some people in this case.....
I think that is the worst statement I have ever read here, on this board, but I am also not surprised....
There is no way to argue against that kind of illogical reasoning so.....where's that total ignore button
Now I have even a better reason for writing you off as some ***, and hope I can do a better job of ignoring you in the future.

That is exactly why posting with you is useless. You can't comprehend the written word, and somehow, your twisted mind gets it all screwed up.
Blaming FOX for an individuals decision is just as crazy as blaming Obama....I guess you didn't quite get that point!

I also didn't say violence was the best recourse for anyone...only that there may be some individuals who may reach that conclusion.

Try just reading what I write, and not trying to twist it around so you can come up with your idiotic responses.

Q </div></div>

Absolutely!

The Fox network is full of racist comments. I don't watch it, but I read about it, and see the videos on the net.

Republicans are now just a regional party, of white southern older men, according to what I read.

Given the demographics of the country, they have got a tough nut to crack to ever gain back the majority, since they've alienated blacks, hispanics, our youth, gays, progressives, the educated young urban adults. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

The radical fringe is now their base. there are really no moderates left in the Republican leadership, at all, and the hate speak of their RW pundits, which keeps their base happy, is losing them votes from moderates.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Seems to me they've backed themselves into a narrow ideologic corner that they're going to look pretty damn silly trying to reverse their rhetoric, given they defend the radical pundits, and their outrageous statements.
