I am really suprized that my post got cancelled. I did not know that offering a discount to the loyal fans of pool and the Chalk Board would be a problem. So what are the rules so I do not violate them again?
Also, for you guys that do not know me, let me introduce myself. I have posted on the Chalk Board for over two years and usually check for new post ever day. I am twenty-five and I just graduated from college last year. I got my degree in biology and I plan to attend optometry school, but for now I am following my dream of playing pool with the pros. I played in numerous tournaments last year and lost big money once I factored in the expense of hotels and travel. That is pretty bad to be ranked 72 in the nation in any professional sport and lose money doing it, but that is what happened. My love of the game is the reason I started Nineballking.com. I hope to make enought money to afford to play in more of the pro events, so in a way, when you buy something from Nineballking.com, you are helping me afford the expenses of playing professional pool.
I can be trusted because I will be at many of the upcoming events with a booth and I want to make a good impression with the tight-knit pool community. I will do everyone right that does business with me and I can guarantee one thing for sure, that I will give the best prices on custom cues or anything else for that matter, than any other billiard retail store. If you are interested in anything on my site, give me a call (toll free number is 1-888-9BALL88) or email me at nineballking2001@yahoo.com and name your price. All offers will be considered. I want your business and I will do more for it than any other of the established stores out there.

I believe that you have to pay Billiardsdigest.com for a notice, such as a poster or a paid announcement in the print, broadcast, or electronic media, designed to attract public attention or patronage. LOL money makes the world go round or rather the WWW lol

The reason your post was deleted is because no one wants to read solicitations here. If it were allowed then everyone would do it and then this board would suck. Also, like others have said... Billiard Digest is not a non-profit organization. People pay to advertise with them. There are rules for the CCB...in print...read them. Best of luck making money and supporting your pool career. It's tough action...

Vicki, where does it have anything in the rules that addresses mercantile posts here on the CCB??
The only rules I could find are here (http://www.billiardsdigest.com/ccboard/viewprivacy.php), and there is nothing at all about not selling. Unless there are more rules somewhere else, I think many of us have a naive misconception about a rule against posting something business or sales related -- other than an unwritten rule of etiquette, that is -- as long as it is billiards related...

Kevin,

You sound like a nice young man who is straight up. I wanted to look at your site. is it nineballing.com or nineballking.com?

I really dont like selling stuff on this forum but it sounds like you are selling stuff to help you to play more pro games. In order to not sound so much like you were selling, you might have done something like this "I am having trouble getting enough money to play in pool tournaments so if you would like to help, go to this site"

Not that I care one way or the other. It's your country. I'm here on a tourist visa.

You are not the only one here in the business. There are cuemakers, suppliers, case makers, roomowners and so on. Whether in writing or not, most understand respect the spirit in which the board operates. Would you like to see every whack job with an ad on ebay posting it here? That is exactly what would happen if it were unchecked. I like it with no advertising. RSB even has porn ads.

I guess that states it pretty clear.

You can type in nineballking.com or 9ballking.com, either way that will get you there.

This is a friendly knock, but I wish I had a website to support my pool playing and betting. You know, that is a good idea.

I think I will start SupportMyPoolAddiction.com,...please send money.

Oh I get it, you find the rules under FAQ -- not Board Rules. I kinda woulda thought they'd be under Board Rules, but then again, I tend to be kinda literal...
