Harvey and Paula Darden, from Hogansville, Georgia, arrived at the White House on Veterans Day - the day before they should have - for a tour organised through their local politician.
To their surprise, after the couple passed the appropriate security screenings, they were taken into an invitation-only breakfast hosted by President and Mrs Obama.
Staff at the White House told the couple they were being allowed into the breakfast because there were no public tours on the day they arrived.

Thought that was very nice of the Obama's and the staff to do.
