For those who have been/are going to U.S. Open

My wife and I are thinking about making the trip up to the U.S. Open.
The plan is to make it a 3 day weekend, traveling Fri. and Sun. Would Sat. be a good day to go to the event?
Is general admission good enough, or should I really get reserved seats in order to see the matches?
Would it be an accurate assumption that there are plenty of vendors there so we can browse in between matches?
Any idea what general admission tickets cost?
Which local pool halls will be the hot spots?

www.qmasters.com (http://www.qmasters.com) I think GA is $10 but the weekend will be busy. Remember, if you're around, the CCB tourny is Saturday.

According to the information on Q-Masters website, the reserved, VIP, seats are not sold on a day by day basis. You have to purchase the whole week long package.
Rich R.~~~will be sitting in the cheap seats for a couple days.

I guess that's what we'll do too.
It seems odd that they wouldn't have a small section of VIP seats to be sold on a day by day basis.

The VIP seats are sold day to day, but understand Most the VIP's will be sold especcially by the weekend. The Conference Center really gets Packed beginning Wed. Night. If you look at the seating chart, The Yellow/Blue/ and Red are VIP seats, the other areas are General Admission. Look forward to seeing you and have a safe trip.
