FYI, we have received many great reviews and testimonials (http://dr-dave-billiards.com/veps/testimonials.html) from customers concerning VEPS. Here's an example from Tom Simpson, which I really appreciate:

from Tom Simpson:
<span style='font-size: 14pt'>In my opinion, this is the greatest single resource for players ever created. Packed with knowledge, clear demonstrations, simple explanations, and good pool sense.</span>

Tom Ross and I thank Tom S. and everybody else who has offered support and encouragement.

It feels really good to finally be totally done with the series. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Dave will anyone have these at the BCA Nationals this week? I could see it selling out quickly if excerpts were being shown on a monitor.

I've finally decided to fill my collection with the rest of the DVDs beyond the #1 I already bought Dave. Is there any discount as a CCB member I might hope to expect, at least free shipping????sid

All of the ordering options we offer are listed here:
http://dr-dave-billiards.com/veps/purchase.html
You could have saved more money if you had ordered the entire set originally, but the Disc III-V discounted package will still save you money.

The only other deal we are offering CCB members (through the end of May) is a 50% discount on the purchase of a second set, per the last paragraph in the first post of the thread. So if you have a friend that also wants a set, or if you want a second set to give as a gift (now or in the future), you can get half off the already-discounted set price. You would still need to purchase Disc II and Discs III-V to compete your first set before getting the special offer.

Sorry, but we are not offering any other "special deals" beyond what is already listed on the site or that I have offered here.

Dave

That's fine. Problem though in ordering the entire set originally was that at the time I got disk 1, there were no other disks.

It kinda seems strange that I can't get #2 and 3 thru 5 without incurring shipping for both the #2 and the 3-4-5 separately. A shipping box with 4 disks but broken out to create a shipping cost separate for 2 individual orders loses logic with me. sid

Although, I can see how you would perceive your current situation as unfair. The problem isn't the shipping ... it is the extra "handling" involved to process "non-standard" orders.

Again, I am sorry if this seems unfair.

Dave, I toss 50 in a pocket on a table for a race to 3 "just like that", and then I poke at you for $2.50 S&H. At the expense of possibly getting Deeman's sh!t for my being from Arkansas AND blond headed,,,this makes very little sense. I guess that maybe having met you up close at SPetty's Pool Hall gave me some presumptions of small favors on the sale from ya. Charlie slid on some cost stuff, plus the hand's delivery from Oklahoma of his Brake Rack while at SPetty's place on a visit, so I surely got a little spoiled. Sorry to have assumed things wrongly...sid

It sounds like you are as much of a cheap bastard as I am. Sorry, but I didn't remember that I had met you at Spetty's place. I do remember you now. If you place the orders, send me an e-mail and I'll throw in a $5 bill (twice the amount in question). I'll also throw in a free copy of my HSV DVD.

I placed the order(s) yesterday Dave. Is your e-mail listed on the order site? I'll look again. Thanks for the added disk Dave. I look forward to spending time with all of them later on this week.

I FOUND YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS. Thanks, I'll see you in e-mail. The free copy of the HSV disk is generous enough. Don't worry about adding the 5 bucks Dave.

Dr. Dave, why are you allowed to sell stuff on this forum when no one else is allowed? I guess if you are a writer for BD, the forum rules don't apply to you.

BTW, this post has nothing to do with the quality of your product. I am only questioning the fact that the powers that be are allowing you to sell on this forum while others are not allowed.

That wasn't my intent originally. My intent was to get feedback on Disc V and to make the 50%-off special offer to CCB users. When people asked sales-oriented questions, I should have answered them via PM. I will in the future.

I think the original intent of my thread was appropriate, but I can understand why others might not even agree with that.

Dave, I'm sorry to say but the final paragraph of your original post is nothing but a sales pitch, IMHO.

There are many people with great products to sell but thankfully, this forum does not allow sales. If the powers that be allow you to sell your stuff they have to let the cell phone and viagra spammers sell their stuff and I don't think any of us want that.

I hate to act like the forum police but I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell and I can't post that here. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Again, you points are well taken. I thought I was doing a good thing by offering CCB members a special deal (which is not offered on my website), but your are right ... the post was probably too "sales oriented" for a non-commercial forum.

Regards,
Dave

Since you are a columnist/contributer to Billiard Digest Mag.,
I think mentioning your DVDs....can be considered part of the remuneration package, an addition to the $100 per word that you now get.
And since the powers behind the throne at BD, have not raised any objections.....it's no harm, no foul.
From the clips...I think they are very well done, and would be an excellent adition to someone's pool "library". (end of unpaid endorsement)
They aren't for me as I already know everything about the game there is to know....and may have to write my own book, lest the secrets go to the grave with me

Hi Dr.Dave; I was hoping to see you in person and buy the package, like when I saw you at Mile High @ Investgo. I can't wait any longer.
I do have a question about 2,3,4, rail kicks do you show the same style that Jimmy Reid does?

I printed the "Kicking Academy" by Dead Aim from your web site. I am not 100% but I think that is Jimmy Reid's system. Do you know for sure?
Dave you are doing a Wonderful Job..!!! Keep up the good work. I hope to see you sometime and shake your hand again!
Hey I am a cheap ass basterd too! From what I saw on your free clips I broke my piggy bank to get this set!

I had all of Jimmy's tapes, and signed up on his online site.
Jimmy invented his own diamond numbering system, and it seemed to work pretty well. I took a couple of years hiatus from pool around that time and the tapes are long gone, along with my kicking expertise
My memory isn't all that great, but seems like Jimmy moved to Fla, to deal with lung cancer. Hope he is still around....

The last I read on another forum was that Jimmy was not well but hanging in.
Before his illness, I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy and talking to him for a few minutes. He was a very nice guy. I wish him the best.
