When we see Republican congressman and senators standing on the Capital Balcony, holding up the yellow snake flag, fueling revolutionary anti-Americanism, then who are the threats to our county in fact? All of them Government representatives, and all of them holding anti American flags, against themselves....

Actually Revolution is very American.
The country was founded on it and Jefferson advocated periodic revolution to insure the continued freedom of the people.

All I have to do is look at the actions of both this administration and the last to see plenty of tyranny.

Soft tyranny is still tyranny.

Buy a history book .... and then read it. You will save yourself much embarrassment.

The "YELLOE SNAKE FLAG" ... which only someone illiterate of US history would call it ... is the Gadsden flag.

The Gadsden flag was the US flag before the stars and stripes was introduced.

The Gadsden flag adopted the snake from the writings of Benjamin Franklin.

The Gadsden flag was the first flag of the USMC.

The Gadsden flag was the first flag of the USN with the only modification being the snake was set against a red/white striped background as opposed to a yellow one.

The Gadsden flag is flown to this day by ships in the US Customs Service and by US harbor patrols.

The Gadsden flag was modified by Culpepper's Minute Men and became the first battle flag of the US Army.

The Gadsden flag was modified and is still used by US Army DI's.

The Gadsden flag is still commonly used by the BSA at campouts and jamborees.

The Gadsden flag holds a place of high honor in the history of this great republic and is revered by those who defend the ideals that our nation was founded upon. It stands for liberty and freedom and the willingness to fight and die in the defense of same ... which probably is the core reason that the far left despises it.

Any government representative who waves the Gadsden flag with respect and honor for the beliefs behind it is a patriot.

Ridiculous. Nothing could be more off the point than some 200 year old reference on today's topic. Things change, that's what progress is, and you better adjust or you'll rightfully end up back in school in a re-education camp for malcontents. In fact, I think I'll submit your name as an example to the other Neanderthals here.

Thank you sir.

Tis a shame that we have people today who denounce the Gadsden flag ... which IMHO de facto spits on the graves of those who laid down their lives to defend the right of future Americans to say insane things.

So many people today have a completely wrong headed understanding of the history of this great nation ... and it's because they are too lazy to educate their own self, preferring instead to be spoon fed by tyrants.

It's a shame that y'all are befuddled by such things ... bit then y'all don't really seem to stand for anything other the state running things because you believe that "THE PEOPLE" lack the discipline to do the right thing when needed.

I just wanted to reinforce the point made by Gayle and Stretch ... that the far left believes those who speak against the party line should not be protected, while conservatives and libertarians clearly believe that speech should be protected even when it is speech we disagree with.

There is no more anti American belief than a belief that anti state speech shouldn't be protected.

Read the frederalist papers and educate yourself.

Your trust is in the inherent good of the omnipotent state ... even though you can't demonstrate much in the way of what they have done well. Add in the idea that you actually believe that the state can legislate the weather and it becomes obvious how much of a lost cause you are.

The ideals of this nation were in part that we have just enough of a government to defend the borders and maintain law and order and that much beyond that lay tyranny.

History has proven that to be true.

Now, you obviously disagree and think the state is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresnt and that those are all good things.

As a lover of liberty, I defend your right to believe these things even though I disagree with all of them.

You, and your kind, are completely opposite. You have a right to your beliefs ... my objection is when the left tries to portray itself as the defenders of liberty when they are in fact intent upon destroying it.

In fact, if you read your own post you point by point confirm everything I've said ... including the point that you simply cannot comprehend a citizen being so unselfish that they would do the right thing without the bayonet of the state at it's collectivist back.

Ah, dear friend, he can't put what he doesn't have, anywhere.

We are watching the unfolding of Republican policies in the GULF right now, Bush's second Katrina, with the most powerful Republican Energy man, Joe Barton, TX, of course, apologizing to BP and bashing the President, for getting tough on them, and securing twenty billion dollars immediately to help those "small" people who are suffering economically.

Now he is THE most powerful Republican on energy, so we can all see what kind of clean up resources, and compensation we could expect if Republicans recapture the majority.

I'd think that even the "small" people(To use BP's Chariman's language)our fellow Americans, who live in Republican country, would think twice before voting for Republicans, given that Barton simply verbalized the Republican energy policies, which have corrupted our Environmental Protection for decades.

Your guess is as good as mine as to how many Americans have lost their lives over the massive corruption and damages to our environment, prosecuted againsts America, by the Bush/Cheney/Barton/Boehner/McConnell attack on our country.

The pattern is unmistakable....Republicans protect the most corrupt in our nation, as Barton/Bachmann/Boehner and the rest, have clearly demonstrated for years, from voting against strengthening financial regulations against the thieves in corporate America, against better equipment for our troops, against tightening regulations on the corporate thieves on Wall Street, to supporting the most irresponsible, incompetent, corrupt oil corporation in the world, AND EVEN APOLOGIZING TO THEIR CEO!!!!!

Perhaps, even our southerners will open their eyes, this time. Barton effectively called those Americans in the Gulf, SLUSH! Then, he refused to apologize.

Republicans apologize to BP!!!! Boehner, McConnell, Backman, Palin, Angle, McCain, all of them, Repulsive!!!

Oh, don't worry. We in the south are seeing first hand how miserably the administration has failed to respond to the disaster in the gulf. I have friends in LA who are saying that the Obama response to this mess has been horrific compared to Bush's response to Katrina. We see how incompetent this administration is. We see how the Dems have taken a bad economy and made it worse.

Don't think that just because you happen to live near DC that you have any special insight. You are as bad as the out of touch politicians who actually believe that what happens inside the beltway is more important than the rest of the country.

Your obvious contempt for the south is disgusting. And it would seem that it is shared by Obama, considering how little he is doing to resolve the issues facing the residents of the coasts of LA, MS, AL and FL.

Your elitist attitude is getting old. If that oil finds it's way to the coast of Maryland, you will be singing a different tune.
