Although I disagree with many choices, to the point of some being ludicrous, I will bow to the will of the people in what is essentially a popularity contest.

That being said, I can hear the gnashing of teeth from afar as many of the left's most hated score extremely well.

Enjoy my friends.

I definitely think they got number 6 wrong.

I'm not arguing that ... in fact I think they got most of it wrong.

The greater point is the left's recent supposed love affair with democracy and insistence that a poll of 238 people simply must be correct ... after all it fits their agenda ... so I decided to see if they would wrap their collectivist arms around this one with the same love.

I quit reading after number 6. I don't believe that's a real poll.

Okay. Just saw your link. Sorry.
I think they must have voted for W as a joke.

Not that anybody cares but the only ones in the top 10 who would have made my top 10 are 2,4,5,8,10 and maybe 3.
Wow! come to think of it, that's 5 or 6 out of 10!
Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Winfrey? No way!

Clinton might have made my top 25, however.
Not sure where I'd place Oprah.
She has done some definite good.

George Washington Carver not in the top 25?
And no mention of John Steinbeck.
Well, at least Limberger didn't get honorable mention.

Perhaps you should ask one of the Americans who, when asked what country the U.S. separated from, named France, Japan, Mexico, Spain or, yes, China.

A new Marist poll shows that 26% of people in this country don't know that the U.S. declared its independence from Great Britain. That includes 20% who aren't sure -- and another 6% who think it was another country.

Looking at the numbers more deeply, it appears the closer to 1776 you were born, the more likely you are to know the correct answer. So enjoy the July 4th holiday, everyone, and don't forget to be thankful that we're out from under the yoke of our Mexican colonial oppressors.

LOL

So much for polls.

Q....no way GW is more popular than Oprah.

LMAO, this is a joke. He's got to go back five years to get any good opinions about Bush and Reagan, both of whom have dropped like a slide rule since then.!

LMAO! Never underestimate the poor taste of the American Public.

It's official ... the leftists here lick the spoon clean of the polls they are told they "BELIEVE" and dismiss out of hand those which don't fit the party agenda.

But ... I already knew that.
