I played crud at Langley AFB. It's not pool. It's just an aerobic workout utilizing a pool table.

Its definately not considered 'pocket billiards' as we know it, but then again, Im sure the French, who invented 'billiards', saw our games as something for the 'commoners'.

When I was in ROTC back in the day, we were allowed to participate in Crud tourneys at the O Club there at Williams AFB in the Phoenix Area. Being 6'4, most of the 'short' pilots had a hard time trying to use Combat crud rules on me lol.

My mate Mike and the other lads at melbourne uni used to play this on the uni 12' tables in the 70's. They called it Slosh.
On 12' tables u havta launch yourself over the table at times. Injuries were common.
I remember we used to play a version on the 12' table at The School Of Mines in the 60's. This sort of fun must be natural. Probly started on dinner tables in the stone age. Possibly involved throwing women around.

Aye.

And the fun of a game like this ALWAYS gets better when officers are sent time and time again to the Grog bowl.
