<u>As the right wing gears up for its regular, election-year fear-mongering over “voter fraud,”</u> there are signals Fox News is setting up Attorney General Eric Holder and President Obama to become this year’s ACORN for conservatives. The opening salvo in the latest “voter fraud” war came last week when Megyn Kelly interviewed a former DOJ attorney “whistle blower” who alleged that Holder has instituted a policy of not protecting whites’ voting rights or prosecuting African American violators.

Not only did Kelly and Fox News buy into their source’s <u>secondhand allegations</u> about an insignificant case that showed no indications of representing a larger pattern – either of voter fraud or the DOJ’s policy – but <span style='font-size: 17pt'>Kelly trumpeted her interview as evidence that black thugs now have license to intimidate white voters in upcoming elections. It's little more than an outsourced echo of Glenn Beck's now-infamous accusation that Obama is a racist with a "deep-seated hatred for white people" but with an electoral, Department of Justice twist.</span>

The so-called whistle blower, J. Christian Adams, is a GOP activist who contends that the DOJ dropped its voter intimidation case against a few members of the New Black Panther Party, who behaved thuggishly at a polling place on Election Day 2008, because African American Holder – and by extension, Obama – has decided not to enforce whites’ voter rights.

The DOJ has an entirely different point of view, one that was barely explored on “fair and balanced” Fox News, even though Kelly’s 1 PM show is supposed to be part of its “objective news” line up. The DOJ has said that the case against the Black Panthers was shaky and that this one incident didn’t constitute an orchestrated campaign or pattern to deny voting rights, the usual criteria for deploying federal resources in litigation. <span style='font-size: 20pt'>In fact, as Main Justice has reported, no voters at all in the Philadelphia precinct have come forward to allege intimidation. The complaints have come from white Republican poll watchers, who have given no evidence they were registered to vote in the majority black precinct.</span>

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Nevertheless, Kelly deliberately led her viewers to think that Black Panthers would be showing up at voting precincts across the country.</span> After guest host Laura Ingraham on The O’Reilly Factor asked “What happened to (Obama’s) post-racial presidency?” Kelly said, <span style='font-size: 20pt'>“Think about that… You’re going to have instances like this where Black Panthers and others can go to the polling stations and do this if they so choose. And they just basically are gonna get a pass (from the Obama administration).”</span></div></div>

Fair and Balanced. They should be sued for false advertising.

You have to think like an Obamatron ... "Just because there is audio and video proof, backed up by democrat eyewitnesses, that they did this doesn't prove a thing!"

It is impossible to make a rational case to an irrational person ... and the Ocult is the most irrational political group since Germany in the 1930's.

Remember how Fox ran forever with the ACORN 'expose'?

Now that FOUR investigations have proved the tapes were doctored, dubbed and not a true represntation of the truth.........do they admit they were wrong to trust O'Keefe, a criminal?

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><span style='font-size: 14pt'>Fox & Friends Encourage Viewers To Disregard CRS Exoneration Of ACORN </span></div></div>

How about Beck?

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">“We have been covering ACORN forever,” Beck said. He added that the FBI field office opened an investigation into ACORN in January, 2009. “Two months later?... they closed shop, dropped the investigation. It has been 477 days now. Despite new documents, the videos that you saw on Fox News, no new investigations into ACORN.”

No new investigations? How about the one conducted by the GAO that just recently exonerated ACORN? Or how about the one conducted by the Congressional Research Service that found ACORN broke no laws in the past five years? Or what about the investigation by the Brooklyn District Attorney which not only cleared ACORN by found that those videos Beck boasted about had been edited to meet the anti-ACORN agenda of the videographers? There was also the independent investigation by the former attorney general of Massachusetts that ACORN commissioned that while critical of the organization, found no legal wrongoing. California's attorney general conducted an investigation, too, and yep, you guessed it - no criminal acts were found.

Maybe that's not enough investigating for Beck. But I think that wasting taxpayer money on this previous Fox-News-generated, trumped-up controversy would be criminal. </div></div>

Really disgusting. It was the BUSH administration's DOJ which was in power at the time these allegations were deemed unfit for any legal follow up, in the first place.

Olbermann did a whole expose' on this BS story by Fox, last night.

Maddow's program highlighted all of the Fox lies on ACORN.

The more desperate Republicans are, the worse they get. The latest Washpo polls show Republicans at the bottom of the barrel on solving our problems, lower than Obama, or Democratics. NYT polls show the same. Their ridiculous lies are a big reason why, not to mention, they have no plan for anything. The Party of no cooperation, no ideas, and no concerns for the unemployed but still out there pushing tax cuts for the rich.

Great reputation for the coming elections, after wasting a surplous, launching two wars, destroying the economy, and dividing the country. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Racist, misogynists, homophobics, in bed with big oil, the crux of our foreign problems with terrorists.

Now we learn that BP lobbied for the release of the so called "Dying" Lockerbe (sp) bomber, who is still alive and well!

Pigs!

You really think Fox was able to cut those people to make it appear they were supporting criminal activity when they were not?

So in your pretzel logic ... the NBPP stood outside voting stations threatening voters with weapons because Bush put them up to it?

That is even below your incredibly low standards.

And, not that you will comprehend what is being told to you, while Bush was POTUS the right thing was done and the thugs were being prosecuted.

It's the regime which has allowed the thugocracy's supporters to walk free among decent citizens.

<span style="color: #000000">LOL, you jusgt proved you too were foiled by the scam! </span>
Well well well...Deeman, you show that you are not only urealistic, given that Bush told you we were on the verge of a decade long depression, but blindly partisan, and given that YOU defended his illegal invasion of Iraq, saying it would distract the terrorists from trying to bomb us here????

Ah, I'd say, that was wishful thinking, given the number of attempts during and after Bush invasion for the benefit of halliburton and the Carlyle Group.

Obama never said he was going to solve everything in two years! Nobody expected he could turn around Bush's disasterous economy in that short amount of time.

Bush destroyed a surplus, borrowing us into a dangerus amount of debt, trashed the income of the Middle Class, and left the country on the verge of a Depression, which HE SAID could last as long as a decade, and now YOU think Obama hasn't gotten us out fast enough for your tastes, after less than two years????

BWA HA HA HA...PAHLEEEZE!

Bush didn't veto a single REPUBLICAN MAJORITY spending bill, and Repiglicans spent like drunken sailors, and broke all previous earmark records,

You tell me how a country stimulates a completely collapsed economy, without investing! IOW, SPENDING! You deficit hawks are ready to spend us into a hole to go and kill innocent people on the other side of thee world, but not to avoid a decade long depression? You are even more illogically partisan than even I ever realized.

Bush's legacy is still the bulk of the deficit, FYI, and obviously, since the law has found ACORN innocent, of any illegal activity, and in a number of states, and has indicted the "Pimp", I'd say you bought into Faux Noise's edited lies..and the Republican vo0ter disenfranchisement, scam has failed, this time.

You are living in a partisan dream world, of denial for the damaging results of your own voting decisions.

What did WE get ouf ot Bush's fiasco in Iraq???

NOTHING! DEBTS UPON DEBTS, AND WE ARE STILL TRYING TO GET OUT RESPONSIBLY!

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Did Bush get bin Laden? Smash al Qaeda? Improve foreign relations? Leave the country better than he found it? Win any wars? Solve any pressing problems?

NO! NO! NO to ALL!</span>

You can blast Democratics all you want, they are still better trusted than Repiglicans in many polls, and the base is still firmly behind Obama, and fully approving of the HC reform.

You think Liberals are bad for the country? Kind of a hard case to make given the behavior of the last Republican Majority, and Bush's historically horrible legacy, and rock bottom historical rankings.

One of us is living in a dream world, and it isn't me.

We were better off after Clinton, and before Bush and the Republican majority got through with us, and worse off after so called "Conservative" influence and power... no one can deny that much, even YOU!

OH, and BTW, fighting in Iraq, did NOT distract terrorists from attacking people around the world, or here, in fact, terrorist attacks increased all over the world, and we had more attempts under Bush, than under Clinton and Obama combined! So your theory that Iraq would distract them, was wrong.

Bush destroyed this country, and no one could glue it back together any faster than this president is doing. When a country is in the midst of trying to completely rebuild it's economy that is no time for deficit hawks to squabloe over what its going to cost to do so. Economists all over the world, know THAT much.

President Obama has accomplished one hellova lot in a short time, and he is about to pass financial reform. Meanwhiole, Republicans have doen everything they could do to further divide Americans, spread hated and lies, block recovery, and in fact, blo0ck EVERYTHING, including unemployment beneifts, while pushing to maintain the tax cuts for the wealthy.

WAKE UP!

Republicans are really out of touch.

I'm betting you can't find half of what you need, much less half of the things you want, that are manufactured in this country, by US companies.

Where was your computer made? How about your car? (Careful, Ford and Chevy both have models that are made in Mexico)

Where is the gasoline you put in your car refined? By whom? Where was the oil originally drilled?

Where was the tv you watch at night manufactured?

It's a nice idea, but it ain't going to happen.

Exactly, we've been had. When our wages after tax amounts to 3 dollars a day then we can compete again. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif It's comeing....... Free trade only works on a level playing field. The Corporations put us up against Country's with the worst human rights abuses in the world then rammed thier products down our throats by underpricing (dumping) their products till it killed our domestic producers. Why? F;ing GREED! They new we could not walk past a "deal". Some deal eh?

Here's something to choke on. Last year the states suffered a 300 billion dollar trade deficit with China. A lot of analyst in fact blame China for helping to cause the credit and housing bubble that led to the 2008 financial crisis. China used it's massive earnings from exports to the US to buy US bonds and morgages, helping to dramaticaly lower interest rates and feed the bubble that dragged down the whole world economy when the bubble collapsed. Have no fear. The present administration is doing it's best to bring our economy down to the level of the third world countries. If he can't destroy our economy, he will just suck up as much as he can, and share it with the rest of the world.

BRAVO!

Excellent post my friend. those have been my sentiments for decades, all the way back to the early seventies, I was becoming more and more concerned when going into stores, and searching for American labels.

I am still doing that. America products are out there, many everyday things we use like fabric sheets for the dryer, for example...if one searches around, one can find American products, instead of just marching into Walmart....

Like everything else, Republicans demonize people who try to buy American products, or expect our country to stop selling us out on the global market, they call that protectionism. I say it's long past time for all of us to vote with our dollars, and yes, protect America by buyinig ONLY American made products.

I refuse to do business with corporations whose customer service and billing departments are in foreign countries, aloso.

Our money finances terrorism, just s Jimmy Carter warned us long ago...

Many corporoations have no patriotism, and don't really give a flying **** about anything but more and more money in their pockets.

The excuse for the Supreme Court's fascist rulings for more corporate power involved in our elections, is the example of UNIONS! What UNION can compete with the multi billions made by the OIL INDUSTRY, for example, or any of the other mega corporations which sell out American left and right.

America can not make it on just the financial industry, or Wall Street investments, which do not offer at all what investors used to be able to expect, to some degree, anyway, but no more, it's an industry which does not produce a damned thing, but has enough power and hidden scams, to bring down the entire economy...

Libby was convicted of the coverup, and for lying.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was convicted Tuesday on three counts of perjury and a fourth count of obstruction of justice in the investigation of the leak of a CIA agent's name.

A federal jury in Washington, D.C., acquitted Libby on an additional count of lying to the FBI.

Libby had little reaction to the verdict, while his wife cried and hugged his defense lawyers. Libby stood expressionless as the jury left the room. The verdict was read on the 10th day of deliberations. Afterward, Libby did not speak to reporters.

The case against Libby stems from an FBI investigation into the 2003 leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity.

In the summer of 2003, Plame's husband — former ambassador Joseph Wilson — emerged as a leading critic of the White House's justification for the invasion of Iraq. Wilson had publicly described a fact-finding mission he undertook for the CIA, during which he found no evidence that Iraq had attempted to purchase materials to manufacture weapons of mass destruction.

Vice President Cheney, then Libby's boss, was particularly enraged. Cheney told his chief of staff to look for information on Wilson.

Several White House officials leaked the identity of Wilson's wife to reporters, in an attempt to convince them that Wilson was part of a CIA move to distance itself from the White House. Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald contended that Libby was one of the officials involved in that effort.

Libby talked about Plame to several reporters — including Judith Miller, then of The New York Times, and Matthew Cooper, then of Time magazine.

Exposing an undercover CIA agent's identity can be a felony. The publication of Plame's name in Robert Novak's syndicated column in July 2003 prompted a formal inquiry.

Libby told FBI investigators that he had learned of Plame's identity from a third journalist, NBC Washington bureau chief Tim Russert. Russert denied that he and Libby had ever talked about Plame. Libby later said that he had forgotten how he'd first heard of Plame. <u>He acknowledged that he had earlier heard of Plame from Cheney.</u>

No one was charged explicitly for the leak. Instead, Fitzgerald argued that Libby had lied under oath to cover up a political embarrassment. At a press conference after the verdict, juror Denis Collins — a former Washington Post reporter — said the jury found that Libby's account of his conversation with Russert was not credible.</div></div>

Yes, and Cheney, suddenly lost his memory when he was testifying.
Over seventy times, IIRC, "I don't recall" gainiing on Gonzales's memory loss under testimony, over a hundred times, "I don't recall" after they illegally tried to politicize the entire DOJ, followed by a strange fire in the VP's office, after which I never could find anything in the papers detailing the cause, and over five million missing E-mails.

Any prosecutor, any NORMAL, reasonably intelligent person, could easily see through their illegal activities. The outing was an organized effort by the entire highest White House top level officials, under Bush, committing treason, outing a covert agent, and then tring to lie their way out of all of it, like they did with every other illegal act they committed, like lying to the Congress of the USA, by cherry picking intelligence...Proven by the British Memo, "the Administration is fitting intel to policy.

Around here, all of it is denied. Then they turn right around and accuse others of being spoon fed????

What a CROCK!

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> May 13, 2006 — The role of Vice President Dick Cheney in the criminal case stemming from the outing of White House critic Joseph Wilson's CIA wife is likely to get fresh attention as a result of newly disclosed notes showing that Cheney personally asked whether Wilson had been sent <u>by his wife </u>on a "junket" to Africa.

<u>Cheney's notes, written on the margins of a July 6, 2003, New York Times op-ed column by former ambassador Joseph Wilson, </u>were included as part of a filing Friday night by prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in the perjury and obstruction case against ex-Cheney chief of staff I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby.

The notes, Fitzgerald said in his filing, show that Cheney and Libby were "acutely focused" on the Wilson column and on rebutting his criticisms of the White House's handling of pre-Iraq war intelligence. In the column, which created a firestorm after its publication, Wilson wrote that he had been dispatched by the CIA without pay to Niger in February 2002 to investigate an intelligence report that Iraq was seeking uranium from the African country for a nuclear bomb. Wilson said he was told Cheney had asked about the intelligence, but the White House subsequently ignored his findings debunking the Niger claims.

In the margins of the op-ed, Cheney jotted out a series of questions that seemed to challenge many of Wilson's assertions as well as the legitimacy of his CIA-sponsored trip to Africa: "Have they done this sort of thing before? Send an Amb. [sic] to answer a question? Do we ordinarily send people out pro bono to work for us? <u>Or did his wife send him on a junket?</u>" </div></div>

<span style="color: #FF0000">No matter where Novak got his first tip, Rove was the confirming source. That's why his face got so red, and he got so nasty, when I threw that fact right into his fat pudgy, ugly pigface.

The day Plame tesitfied before the Senate, her presence had been preceeded by a letter from the Director of the CIA, attesting to the fact that she was a covert, NOC CIA SECRET Agent, at the time that Novak outed her, after ROVE served as the confirming source for Novak, who outed her as a CIA employee, but Rove knew at the time, that she was SECRET, because reporters had seen the folder from the CIA, which they had in their possession when they all boarded AF1 together, the weekend before the outing, right in Powell's arm. The first sentence, identified Plame as SECRET, in RED. One would have to suspend critical thinking, in order to think that they all did not get in a huddle to decide how to deal with Wilson's expose' of their lies in the SOTU Address.

They began their filthy plan to discredit Wilson, on the Monday they returned, after which Rove, and Libby spent weeks contacting RW reporters, stirring the pot with their leaks...and covering up their filthy tracks afterward, with their lies.

Only the most indoctrinated of the sheep, could continue to deny she was covert, and the White House Top level Staff, under direct direction of the Vice President, who surely would have discussed the plan for attacking Joe Wilson's credibility, with Bush, in advance of their plan to attack Wilson's credibility, which tops from Cheney, found right on top of the news article, in Cheney's hanndwriting, layinb out the details of suggestions for attacking Wilson.

Bush and Cheney lied, Wilson exposed the lies, after which, in order to slander Wilson's reputation, Bush and Cheney outed his wife, so they could charge that his trip was just some fluke, a wife sending her husband on a jumket, her husband, the nobody, except that he was the former ambassador to Niger!!!!

Plame's boss at the CIA, stated quite clearly that it was his decision to send Wilson, not Plames, and Plame testified under oath to the Senate that she had no authority to send anyone, anywhere, as a WMD specialists, working in SECRET.

Cheney is STILL out there trying to paint Wilson as a some know nothing, with no experience, when Wilson was the former Ambassador! He knew more about the workings in Niger, regarding Yellow cake, and what Saddam did or did not do, than anyone else in government.

Bush had to delete his own statements, all lies, from his own SOTU Address, the next day! The CIA was going to expose his lies, refusing to take part in his treason, of lying to the Congress and the country, in a SOTU Address.

Also, there was a link between the italian thugs who broke into the Niger Embassy, just months before the election, to steal the official stamp and stationary, linked to Michael Ledeen, RW Neocon, member of the American Enterprise Institute, which had pushed for an invasion of Iraq, for over a decade before the chimp crashed the White House, and Ledeen was later rewarded with a big corner office at The American Enterprise Institute, soon after Bush slithered into the Oval Office. The AEI, which is nothing more that a RW terrorist organization, linked to the oil industry, and full of former communists.

The right has to deny that the Director of the CIA clearly atated Plame's status.

Deny that Bush had to redact his own lies in the SOTU Address.

Deny that Rove, in is own words, told Novak, "I've heard that too," confirming for Novak, that Wilson's wife worked at the CIA, knowing that she was covert.

Deny that we later learned thata in fact, Saddam never did seek Yellow Cake from Niger.

Deny that Cheney's office fire was suspicious.

Deny that five million E-mails of Rove's, were missing.

Deny that Rove and libby, and others in the administration were breaking the law by using the Republicn party's e-mail instead of the White Houuse's Email system in order to hide their illegal bahavior.

Deny the Btitish Memo, stating the Administration was fitting inel to their policy, invasion of Iraq.

Deny under oath testimony by Plame, her boss, the director of the IA, and the statements of the Special Prosecutor, Fitzgerald...

"A Cloud remains over the Vice President's Office."

And deny that Libby WAS convicted for covering up for Cheney.

And Deny that Scott McClellan resigned because both Rove and Libby lied to him about their involvement.</span> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Two examples of multiple investigations proving nothing. One benefits the Dems (qtip thinks it is relevant), the other does not benefit Dems (qtip whines that they are different and then continues to post his same BS garbage that has already been proven to not matter in an indictment).

He actually laughed at you if I remember correctly. Now the question is...Was he laughing at what you had to say, or was he laughing because of the sound of your voice? Who knows. The one thing for sure is that he did not get red.

July 12, 2010 6:25 pm ET — Matt Finkelstein

Sharron Angle, the far-right GOP candidate to unseat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), returned to Fox News today to discuss the latest twists in her tumultuous campaign. Specifically, host Neil Cavuto asked Angle about Sen. Bob Bennett's (R-UT) prediction that she will lose and her confused attack on Reid's work to save 22,000 jobs at MGM Resorts, a major Nevada employer. During the interview, Angle repeatedly ignored and struggled to answer questions — at one point, she called a private loan to MGM a "bank bailout" — <span style='font-size: 17pt'>showing once again that she has almost no grasp on the policies she would affect if elected. </span> </div></div>

Rude Pundit says,

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Nevada Senate Candidate Sharron Angle Is a F---ing Retard, Too:
<span style='font-size: 14pt'>You can actually see the moment that Fox "news" host Neil Cavuto loses his will to live.</span> It's at about the five minute mark in his interview with Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle. Cavuto can't get his mind around Angle's allegation that Senator Harry Reid somehow did something wrong by helping MGM Resorts not go bankrupt by making a few calls to banks to give the mega-employer in Vegas more leeway in its loans as it builds the massive City Center. Angle had previously said that federal stimulus funds were given to MGM, which was an ignorant lie.

And here she was, on Cavuto's show, and Cavuto told her it wasn't a stimulus, asking, "Were you not aware that the company did not receive any stimulus money, but that Harry Reid was just phoning lenders on behalf of a big employer in your state?"

To which Angle replied, "Well, truly, he was exercising his influence to do a bailout, if you will, of MGM, at the expense of others."

Now, there's all kinds of things you could say to criticize Reid's actions. You could say that he was giving help to a big damn donor. You could say that Reid's probably never done the same thing on behalf of an individual who was going bankrupt. Or you could go in the other direction and just say that he saved around 80,000 jobs, including 22,000 just in City Center construction and staff, and, hey, isn't that groovy? <span style='font-size: 17pt'>But the one thing you can't say? That there was a bailout</span>. Oh, you can, but then you're a f===ing retard </div></div>

Ouch.
