One of these days you will, hopefully, learn to read your own links.

If you would have, you would have known the following:

1 - Where we have fallen is in the 25-34 age group as of the end of 2007. Assuming a general graduation age of 22, that would have this group graduating from high school primarily between the years 1991 and 2000.

I'm trying to remember who was at the head of the regime during most of that time period? Whoever it was, they woiuld have been the one picking the Sec of Education. This group would also have been born primarily between 1973 and 1982 ... or the first generation of kids who went through 12 years of public education controlled from Washington, DC.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The United States has fallen from first to 12th in the share of adults ages 25 to 34 with postsecondary degrees, according to a new report from the College Board. </div></div>

2 - That the entire point of your thread is a myth:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Educational attainment has risen gradually among 25- to 34-year-olds in recent years, according to census data, with the share holding associate degrees or better rising from 38.1 percent in 2000 to 41.6 percent in 2008, the latest figure available. </div></div>

3 - That there was a direct link to the actual report. Had you followed the link to the actual data ...IOW rejected the spoon ... tou would have found that the 55-64 age group fares much better compared to the world.

Oddly enough, that would be the generation which came through the educational system before the federal gubmint took it over. Can you see the trend? Try hard.

&gt;&gt;&gt;OH DEAR&lt;&lt;&lt; (http://completionagenda.collegeboard.org/sites/default/files/reports_pdf/Progress_Executive_Summary.pdf)

4 - The US is faring far better than the Euro socialist states in both age groups.
&gt;&gt;&gt;OH MY&lt;&lt;&lt; (http://completionagenda.collegeboard.org/sites/default/files/reports_pdf/Progress_Executive_Summary.pdf)

What we really are discussing is another pitiful example of the legacy of James Earl Carter and statism.

LWW &lt;--- Reads the data, rejects the spoon.

You link shows Canada beating the US every time. All 3 graphs show Canada ahead of the US. check it out (http://completionagenda.collegeboard.org/sites/default/files/reports_pdf/Progress_Executive_Summary.pdf)

How can this be? Canada is a socialist country with universal healthcare. Which we all know, thanks to the TParty and the GOP is the end of the world!!!!!!!!!!!

We should be excusing you for one horrible job of fact analysis, as ususall. The overwelming evidence points to the fact that we enjoy a higher standard of living, better education, universal health care, and consistantly beat out the USA in polls taken EVERYWHERE on the most desirable places to live. Yes our taxes are higher, and we have gun control resulting in way fewer homicides per capita, and legislation regarding hate speech. So the likes of you would not enjoy it much here. Thank god for that! Or is it just good planning? St.

Actually Canadian health care couldn't continue as is without the US system as a safety valve for when the Canadian system fails, your crime rates have jumped with gun control, and I see way more Canadians coming south to stay that vice versa ... but, you may continue living in your fantasy land.

Sorry ... but your thread was supposed to be about blaming Bush.

When it is shown that the root of the problem stretches back into the Carter regime you want to change the subject.

How typically lame.

Q. You are getting as bad as G now. What does a socialist style healthcare plan have to do with education???

Try sticking to the topic, rather than throwing out every talking point you can think of.
