Myth.

1. The Dems attack Palin because they are scared, not because she says stupid things every time she opens her mouth.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">It's A Landslide! <span style='font-size: 20pt'>Netroots Want Sarah Palin To Run For President</span>

Well, it's official. Progressive Democrats want President Obama to face off against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in 2012 as the battle for the ages.

An early release of the Netroots Nation straw poll taken from Thursday through Sunday and obtained by TPM shows that attendees of the convention in Las Vegas overwhelmingly want Palin to mount a presidential bid.

Respondents were asked who would they "most like to see" as the GOP nominee to challenge Obama for reelection two years from now. Netroots attendees preferred Sarah Palin, with 48 percent of them choosing her. The next closest vote-getter was libertarian Rep. Ron Paul with 11 percent, followed by former Sen. Rick Santorum with 10 percent and former Gov. Mitt Romney with 9 percent.

The others trailed in this order: Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (8 percent), Gov. Tim Pawlenty (7 percent), Former Gov. Mike Huckabee (5 percent) and Rep. Mike Pence (1 percent). </div></div>

The myth is that Sarah Palin says stupid things. Reality is just the opposite but those on the Left always wants to change reality to fit their perverted world view.

"NETROOTS" aren't democrats or old school media per se in that they do not control what is put on the spoon.

They are merely midlevel folks who regurgitate what is put on the spoon into their blogs for dissemination to the multitudes.

"NETROOTS" is simply a 21st century name for what was called "AGITPROPS" during the 20th century.

Put simply, they seem to have no actual opinion other than what the inner party elite tells them their opinion is.

This is entirely evident from the "JOURN-O-LIST" scandal where the old school media hacks ran an illegal campaign to get dearest leader elected.

When I think of Sarah Palin , I think of the main character in
Jerzy Kosinsky's wonderful novel, Being There.
Also a movie starring Peter Sellers.
The main character was a simple-minded gardener who
was thrust in the spotlight and his gardening comments were
erroneously assumed to be analogies for deeper truths.
Palin has had ample time to bone up on what's going on politically but prefers to hide behind soundbites, slogans and cliches.
As much as most Democrats would love to see her get the nomination , most savvy Republicans understand that she is simply a cardboard cutout character.
We have a couple of characters on this forum who appear to
believe that the whole is greater than the individual parts
but that doesn't say much for them, does it?

Could she actually win? I can't believe that the i.q. of this country has sunk this low but who knows?

You really should check things out instead of relying on the spoon for you "TRUTH" to be delivered. From CNN's Anderson Cooper:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Sarah Palin told ABC news "...you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

That quote made us want to go to that island.

So we did.

The island is called Little Diomede. It looks like a rock plopped into the Bering Strait. Only about 150 Alaskans live on the whole island. <span style='font-size: 11pt'>And just about two miles away; in full view of every single house on the island is the nation of Russia.</span> Specifically, it is the Russian Island of Big Diomede <span style='font-size: 14pt'>which sits about 25 miles from the Russian Siberian mainland (which you can also see from the American island.)</span> </div></div>

Thanks for proving my point. The SNL skit changed what she said and then gaylio went running to the board telling us Palin said she can see Russia from her doorstep. You people make crap up. Why not just use her actual text and refute it. Are you laughing because you don't believe Russia can be seen from Alaska? It has already been proven to be true but funny enough, Palin has never been to that place.

At this point anyone who goes up against Obama will win but it won't even get that far. A dem is going to run against him and win and we will for sure see a new President next time. I am not saying we will have a Rep for sure but we will definitely have a different POTUS.

There needs to be no factual basis when the left wants to attack anyone. They simply make up their facts, and then repeat them frequently in hopes that someone might end up believing them.

The point was clearly that Alaska is unique among the 50 US states in that it borders a foreign country on 2 sides.

All other states either border other states, or international waters, or at least 1 other state.

Q </div></div>

Stop changing sides of the argument.

But to explain it simply ... there isn't always a nation at the edge of a border.

With California, Washington, Oregon, and the entire eastern seaboard there is international water at one border abd another state or states at the other boundaries.

With all the interior states it's other states completely. With states at the Canadian/Mexican borders it's a foreign country and other states that they border.

OTOH ... Hawaii borders nothing but international water.

Alaska is the lone state out of 50 which borders two foreign nations.

The only thing that you have "PROVED" is that Palin is way smarter than you.
