Lost a great football player today.

Unfortunately, this is what I remember:

There were never words of consolation or an apology from Tatum, and the two players never spoke after the hit.

Tatum, though, showed no remorse for his headhunting ways in a 1980 book, “They Call Me Assassin” and the follow-ups “They Still Call Me Assassin: Here We Go Again” in 1989 and “Final Confessions of an NFL Assassin” in 1996.

And Tatum wasn't the only Raider who tried to hurt people.

Congratulations Hondo. I make a post about a well known athlete passing away, and you replay with nothing but negativity about him.

What a fine, Christian sentiment to express!

You could have just skipped this thread, but you couldn't bring yourself to pass up the opportunity to say something bad about someone, could you?

Did anyone ever teach you if you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything at all?

Compare his reaction to that to any mention of Robert Cornelius Calvin Sales Byrd Junior having been a paid recruiter for the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

If there was ever any doubt about his character, he has removed it with just one post!
