I'm sorry I caused you so many sleepless nights, wondering what trouble I was getting into.
I'm sorry you never got to hold your first grandkid, I've always had bad timing.
I'm sorry you never got to see me suceed like you always thought I would.
I'm sorry I wasn't there when you left us.
I'm sorry that I never said, "I love you." enough times.

I'm happy that for 23 years I got to call you my mother.

I'm happy that I'll never look at a bad shot the same way again, none of it is life and death, perspective is everything.

I'm happy that you knew I was on my way to doing well.

I'm happy that in the last 4 hours I have been reintroduced to all your many, many friends.

I'm happy to once again now say "I love you."

I know you are in a better place now, and you won't have to feel pain ever again.

Raise a glass, say a prayer, and have a drink on me and my mom. She would have liked that.

You have my condolences...be strong and carry on...I lost my younger brother on July 28th after a prolonged illness...

Rob,

Thanks for the thoughtful post. That's a very nice way to honor your Mom. I will definitely raise a glass in your and your Mom's honor tonight.

I lost my Dad 6 years ago in May. Unfortunately your feelings of loss will get worse before they get better, but they will eventually be overshadowed by the good memories. Just remember you're always just a PM away from your friends on the CCB.
