Ohio GOP congressional candidate Tom Ganley is the target of a new lawsuit alleging that the multi-millionaire businessman sexually assaulted a Cleveland woman in his office last year.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the claims come from a 39-year-old married mother of four who says she met Ganley at a Tea Party rally in July of last year, where she asked if she could get involved in the campaign.

After a series of meetings revolving around campaign duties and a potential car repair, on August 1, 2009, Ganley allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.

The Plain Dealer reports:

Ganley told her he wanted her to dominate her, parade her on a leash and have sex with her in front of his "play friends," the suit says. It accuses him of grabbing her from behind, wrapping his arms around her, kissing her and, despite her resistance, reaching into her pants.
Ganley and the woman have been seeking to settle out of court, but after no agreement could be reached, the accuser turned to a lawsuit.

Steve Dever, Ganley's attorney, has called the charges extortion and claims they are politically motivated.

Ganley has been the target of character attacks before. A DCCC ad against him in September sought to play on his profession as a "used car salesman" and alleged misconduct of his business.

From a CQ report of the ad:

"Millionaire used-car salesman Tom Ganley is trying to ride his reputation into Congress -- he should be trying to hide it," a narrator says in the new DCCC ad. "Sued by customers for fraudulent and deceptive practices, two 'F's' from the Better Business Bureau, over 160 complaints in just three years. Tom Ganley will try to sell you on his reputation, but with this used-car salesman, it's buyer beware."
Ganley's dealerships, CQ also reports, are currently under facing lawsuits for racial, gender and age discrimination, a reportedly common occurrence in the auto sales business.

Ganley faces incumbent Democrat Betty Sutton in the 13th Congressional District race in November.

I will reserve judgement until all the facts are in. Seems this kind of story surfaces on a regular basis on both sides prior to elections. As I recall, there were similar charges against Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Gary Hart, and countless others. None of them ever went to court, so why jump on this one, other than the fact that he is a Republican???

I know the charges are just that for now. But if this pans out, I smell a run for the White House! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Let's hope this is not true but it seems pretty normal for boht parties right now.

If I were an honest politician right now (I knopw, I knopw that's an oxymoron) I'd have a film crew documenting my every second that I was not alone.

The candidate for Governor in California is now charged with abusing her illegal maid that she paid $23 an hour, then fired after finding she was not legal.

Why would anyone run for office in this environment. Did you see the crook using footage that showed the guy saying "His wife should submit" and turns out he was so out of context he was saying the last thing he wanted his wfie to do was submit. A crooked Democrat cut the footage to lie about him. Anyone surprised?

Guess that clears up the little detail about Meg Whitman's husband having written her a note, right on the Federal Government inquiry regarding the possible illegal status of the housekeeper, years before, but she didn't fire her, until this former CEO, decided to run for office?

This multi-millionaire former CEO, isn't even paying near the going wages in my area, for housecleaning, not to mention, how does a woman, who ran a huge corporation, fail to take care of a a basic detail, like investigating the status of someone working right in her home, After her husband jots down a note right on the notification form, from social Securityu, and then pander to the Spanish vote, claiming a supposed bent for immigration reform, after she fires the illegal immigrant on her household payroll for nine years, to cover her own ass?

First she maintains neither she, nor her husband ever saw the inquirey, then Alred displays the document, with the husband's hand written suggestion to Whitman, to check it out, right on the bovernment document, and her story changes to well, yes, he might have written a note on it.

Nice gal. A big liar. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Guess that blows away the articles he's written, where he says in print, that women should submit to their husbands? I haven't checked that out, yet, but that's being reported, along with other statements he's made, similar and equally offensive.

Who is the supposed crooked Democrat?

There are loads of irrational, outlandish comments that have been made by Angle, Paul, Bachmann, Boehner, McConnell, O'Donnell, Brewer, Beck, Palin, Gingrich, the Tea Party Candidate, in NY, with four felons on his staff, and he's threatening to "Take Out" a reporter, for asking him why he accused cuomo of having paramour's, and then had to back off the accusation because he had no proof. turns out he made the accusaion against Cuomo to divert questions about his own out of wedlock child.

As we write, there are three more closted Republican gay contenders, about to be outed, and then there's Andrew Shervill, who ran the disgusting gay bashing blog, who has stalked a young gay fellow, for being President of the Student Body, and slandered him on line, stalked him at his home, screaming anti-gay sentiments.

He also has a history of using his position as assistant A.G. to harrass and bully other students who don't support his anti-gay stance, and even used his office to have one student who spoke against his outrageous and nasty behavior, dismissed from a class.

I suppose you think Shervill isn't Republican? He worked for Mike Cox, for years. Shervill was Cox's political ally, and on his payroll for years, and Cox, refuses to fire him.

I could go on, and I'm leaving out loads of Republican insanity, threats, lies and actual, thrown off you feet, outrageous statements, threats and behavior.

Angle's suggesting a second ammendment remedy for any winning Democratics, and promising to "take out" Reid!
Like it or not, admit it or not, we have never had so many outrageous, unqualified nutjobs running for office as the TPers and the Republican party are supporting in this election.
