The ignorant will always elect the ignorant. J

"Johnson is a member of the House Democratic leadership, elected by the Democratic caucus to serve as whip for Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.[3] Johnson serves on the House Committees on Transportation & Infrastructure, Armed Services and the Judiciary. He is chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts and Competition Policy."

In December 2009, Johnson revealed that he had been battling Hepatitis C for over a decade, which resulted in slow speech and a tendency to regularly get "lost in thought in the middle of a discussion".[6] Johnson said that he learned he had the disease in 1998 but does not know how he contracted it. The disease has damaged his liver and led to thyroid problems.[6] He was treated with a combination of ribavirin and interferon at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.[6] In February 2010, Johnson finished an experimental treatment for Hepatitis C, resulting in weight gain and increased energy.

Why bother with the facts, Jimmy?
After all, it was a golden opportunity for a good ole non-partisan fella like yourself to attack another Democrat, right?

Gotta love you tea partiers. Spreading Christian love where you can.

So, in answer to my original question, "Will The Liberal Democrats Defend This Clown?", the answer is yes.

Attack?? Being concerned about the quality of our government representation is now called "attacking".

Correct he was "lost in thought'....about Guam tilting over and sinking because of 8,000 soldiers being stationed on the island.

You are actually defending a Congressional representative that believes that this could happen. Unbelievable! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sick.gif

Ever hear of resignation?

Only a fool defends the indefensible. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Please tell me you didn't actually have any doubt.

After all ... H defends Robert Cornelius Calvin Sales Byrd Junior for his paid recruiting of murderers, rapists, church burners, cross burners, and general terrorists simply because he had (D) following his name on the ballot.

H tells us the reason. The man has Hepatitis C which causes him to be unable to lose focus when in the middle of a discussion. That is a physical problem that he has no control over. However, the results of that physical problem create a potentially serious situation.
Do we really need people in leadership positions who, when involved in a hight level discussion about creating laws that will affect millions of Americans, finds visions of sugar plumbs dancing in his head????

Steve, I've know a few people stricken with Hepatitis C, none of which ever thought that the island of Manhattan would tilt over, or that if one walked far enough he would fall off the edge of the earth. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif That entire rant about H C was BS.

You must remember that one of the pillars of the far left ideology is that if all you need is an excuse, any at all will do.
