In the race for Byrd's seat Governor Joe Manchin is running against limestone and steel tycoon John Raese.
Tons of money is being poured into ads by big business
connecting Manchin to Obama and viciously smearing him.

Manchin has done a fine job as governor and is trying to run on his record.
Raese is strictly using negative campaigning.
Half of the ads don't even mention Raese, just blast Manchin.

It appears that West Virginians are too ignorant to realize they are being conned.

I am becoming more and more ashamed of my state.

Actually I have been seeing a lot of interviews on CNN with WV residents. It appears they are very disenchanted with the democrats.
WV may be going Red.
