Hilarious! My only criticism is that there were not nearly enough racist, obese, hateful angry acting people in that crowd, to look enough like the slovenly looking Bubbas I saw at the Tea Party Rally.
Those folks, (in the cartoon) seemed far more intelligent, phsically fit, cleaner, and respectable looking, and acting, than the ones I saw at the Tea Party Rallies, LOL. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Do you really think you are better than everyone else, or do you just do that to stir up responses?

Well, come on, she didn't say anything about women with scary voices did she?

I hope you do realize this episode aired in 2007, and the Tea Party Movement did not emerge until 2009 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
Also, the title of the episode is "It takes a village idiot, and I married one". A reference to Hillary Clinton's book according to show creators.

yeah... now if we will just try to recall what all was going on in political races in 2007 we can infer a little on who the joke is really on.
Methinks it as a reference to politics in general, and how candidates (on both sides mind you) say nothing of real substance... but rather what the voting public WANTS to hear. And how said public laps it right up.
Just my take...

There are quite a few Democratics that I am hoping we get rid of, you know. There are at least twelve.

You say that, but we all know that you would vote for all 12, if they were running against a Republican or TP member, just because of the party they belong to.

She just knows her followers will believe whatever she says.
Nobody actually believes G was ever at a TPR.

I know Q intended it as a joke, but I didn't think Family Guy as part of your normal television viewing... hence I did not know if you were aware this clip was not actually about the TP.
Now if ya want some good fun at the expense of every side watch the Limbaugh episode! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Well, thanks friend, but I'm not quite that old and feeble yet, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif I was aware of Q's joke, and thought you could tell that I, too, was joking.

But it wasn't of a real event.
What it was, was a portrayal of how Lois ... an uber partisan far leftist ... realized how easy it was to use catch phrases to influence voters. Much like Obama.

And the left doesn't use catch phrases???? Read any one of Gayles posts, and you will see they are filled with the same phrases over and over and over.
And since nobody rammed Obamacare down your throat, why is it any concern of yours??????????

LMAO! Can you believe people still can't see through this bunch of idiots! Same bunch who is running the show behind the scenes, ala Rovarian politics of personal destruction, and non stop lies!
Republicans never change. They're the same scum they were all the way back to Nixon, and even before that..

What I can't believe is that you can't see that the idiots you supported who are now running the country are even worse than the ones you are constantly whining about.
