Update East Moline tourney

Karla in IA won her first match. She went for $100 in the blind bid in the calcutta. She is shooting very strong. She will play again at 5:30 this evening.

Chris has won his first match also. He went for a whopping $15 in the calcutta. He bought half of himself for $7.50. He tried to buy the other half, but the guy wouldn't let him, LOL. He plays again at 4:00 against midwest champion, Larry Neville. If he defeats Larry Neville, then he draws his long time friend, Jon Kucharo.

There are some really good shooters here. Hope to learn a lot. Will keep everyone posted.

Chris lost against Larry Nevel, 5-4. Chris had him 3-0, Larry came back with an 8 on the snap to make it 3-3. Chris came back with an 8 on the snap as if to say, "two can play that game", to make it 4-3. It came to hill-hill and Chris had a combination cut shot that just bobbled in the pocket and didn't drop. Unfortunately, Larry had 2 or 3 balls left and ran out. That was Chris' game, but didn't work out that way. Had Chris beaten Nevel, he would have played Jon Kuchero next in the winner bracket. Chris wanted to play Jon badly today and told Jonny that he would see him for the 1st and 2nd place finish and that he doesn't do savers, LOL. Jon and Chris are very good friends. He shot very well though. Plays again at 8:30.

The Chris Cass - Larry Nevell match was one of the best I have ever seen and I have a pretty large collection of accu-stats matches. Back to back 8's on the snap. Match really came down to one or maybe two shots. Both players had to be well above 850 on the accustats in that match.
