Many thanks to all who have served and those now serving or with members of your family in service. You all make us proud.

I was just about to post the same message.

I hope we'll all remember them, also, when Republicans cut back their health care, and many other forms of socialism, upon which many, many of our Vets, and their families, are so dependent and which mean so much to their overall survival, day to day.

Only Gayle could take what might have been a very nice thread regarding the people who serve this country and twist it into a political stand.

DeeMan, thanks for the thoughts. Those of us who served, did so because we love this country. I still have those same feelings, and will fight against anyone who undermines the principles that are the foundation of this country. And I don't care if it is the President of the country, or a nobody poster on a pool forum.

We didn't serve to watch a bunch of panty-waste losers tear the country apart.

As a combat veteran yourself...we all owe you a great deal of thanks as well !!!
Two of my uncles served in WWII, as did my Dad and Stepfather.
They all survived, and the stepdad won a purple heart, when he fell out of a jeep and broke his arm, after a nite "on the town"
(in Italy)
I managed to be too young for one war and too old for the next....so I never got a chance to do an "Audie Murphy".

LOL, Everybody has to describe his experience to his garndkids as Audie Murphy but most were frightened kids who want to anything but get home! The hardest part was probably the wives and mothers waiting at home!

God bless them all.
