In yet another example of diarrhea of the mouth, State Senator James Meeks said the following:
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">"I think that the word 'minority,' from our standpoint, should mean African-American. I don't think women, Asians and Hispanics should be able to use that title. That's why our numbers cannot improve, because we use women, Asians and Hispanics, <u>who are not people of color</u>, <u>who are not people who have been discriminated against.</u>" </div></div>
LMAO!
He later "clarified" (translated: boy I f'ed up and better try to cover my ass):
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> he said that the City Hall programs should only stop their set-asides for "white women." </div></div>
Nope, no rasicm or sexism there. None at all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif
Also, the guy is apparently famous for referring to homosexuality as "an evil sickness".
Of note, he's not white, not from the south or flyover states, and not republican.
