Geithner is telling us that the CBO estimates TARP is actually only going to cost $25B. Geithner thinks it will be even less than that. This is good news, hopefully it will be less.

It may be, as long as no one counts the real value of the troubled assets we bought! remember, we took these bad loans off the hands of the banks.

Really? Exactly how much of the TARP money has been returned to the US Treasury? Zero would be my first guess. You got Barney Frank on TV saying the TARP repayments would be diverted to other special interest causes and would not be repaid. You got Obama telling Chrysler forget about it on repaying their debt.

The Dems just ripped off the country for 3 trillion and nobody is going to jail.
