In a press conference earlier today, House Democratic leaders unloaded on House Republicans for their hypocrisy on their effort to repeal health care reform. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) was almost sneering when she made her remarks:

Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro, addressing reporters at a news conference with other House Democratic leaders Tuesday, called the GOP move "disingenuous" and "nothing but political theater."

"It is a Kabuki dance," she said. "The fact of the matter is we're not going to repeal health care. It is not going to happen."

Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, cited projections from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office noting that the Democrats' overhaul will lower the federal deficit over the long term.
As a result, she argued, a GOP-led health care reform repeal would "do very serious violence to the national debt" -- undermining a central Republican pledge of fiscal responsibility.

The Republicans "will employ budget gimmicks" and "<span style='font-size: 20pt'>Enron-type accounting" to make the claim that a repeal of health care reform won't increase the debt,</span> predicted Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland. "That kind of flim-flam" is what people came to expect of Republicans the last time they ran Congress, he said. </div></div>

The party of change is not for changing, despite what they say.

You are aware that the CBO has been shown to have been using data the democrooks fed them which was blatantly untrue?

LOL, same ol' same ol'...the right is capable of mass denial, regardless of proven facts.

Nothing is going to change, except many older Americans, in the bible belt, and elsewhere, are going to finally begin to understand exactly how little concern the Repiglican Party has over what happens to them, their kids, and their grandkids, and worst of all, to the earth, when all are at the mercy of the Repiglican protected and supported, corrupt insurance, pharmaceutical, coal, oil and insurance industries.

Must say, so far, their mentioned cuts are pretty funny....

More scrutiny over the HC Bill is only going to highlight all of their lies about it, and prove it is a money saving, needed legislation, which once understood, most people like most of it anyway....

The mandate, was a Republican idea, from Romney, anyway....

At most, the mandate will be removed...so that the Flyover States, RW dummies Palinbans from Beckistan, who believe everythiing the Repiglicans lie about, can continue to pay for all of the expensive health costs, which are increased, by their ignorant insistance on paying top dollar for the Repiglican, hated lower class recipients, top dollar, yet, in our high cost emergency rooms.

That's how stupid they are....don't even try to bring up the impact on our housing crises, they don't get that either....

So here we are waiting with baited breath, to see the emotional display, sure to happen today, when Boehner loses it again....

So far, Boehner has four busloads of relatives, coming in to celebrate.

The liquor and pork ribs sales should get a good bump, lol.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I don't need to read anymore that this. Everyone that says this is out of a job. Congress is doing what the American people told them to do. Let the Democrats interfere with that process. We are taking down their names and we will deal with them when the time comes.

I hope the Reps have the balls to actually do what they say they are going to do otherwise they also will be booted out the next time they are up for election.

As far as the health reform, they don't need to abolish everything but they need to fix the big problems and reduce the costs tremendously.

That'll be a first!

Too bad your folks didn't do that in 04, and we wouldn't have ended up in this mess in the first place.
