I assume somebody will immediately label themselves with a R and L side, but just try to "re-live" the moments most of you baby boomers here really remember. I lost my share of brain cells too, so don't feel that bad ;-)

While most of it rings true it is a sad commentary on the state of our union.

Sad indeed! I wonder what policies and who brought us to this point?

Did they get the world they wanted? Are we better off?

I'm glad I grew up in those times...I would hate to be a kid today...they aren't allowed to have any fun!

It is the leftist, nanny, do-gooder state and brought us this. It is not a coincidence that in 1957 Sputnik flashed over our heads and the central planners in Washington introduced 'new math' so we would not fall further behind the USSR.

#7 rings true ... I once filled a testor's bottle with firecracker leavings. Then I took it over to Danny Palmer's house and we put it in the seat of his mom's favorite steel patio chair, thinking nothing would happen other than the seat back shielding us from flying glass. Wrong - all the rivets holding the seat to the back were blown out, and the seat itself took on a considerably more concave shape. Plus, the noise drew half a dozen witnesses before we could hide the evidence. I think we were both grounded for a week, but no one called the FBI.

We have fallen a long way in a short time.
