Traffic flowed relatively unhindered through the square, the hub of the mass uprising that toppled President Hosni Mubarak on Friday.

"We have half an hour left, we are cordoned by military police. We don't know what to do. We are discussing what to do now," one of the protesters, Yahya Saqr, told Reuters, adding that a senior officer "told us we have one hour to empty the square or we will be arrested".

Military police in red berets surrounded the protesters, who numbered about 40. The head of the military police was at the scene. Activists said two protesters had been detained. </div></div>

For someone who says they are for freedom, you sure have an obsessive desire for the Egyptian revolution to fail.

No, I'm just smart enough to realize that the left has been played.

Again.

Once you can figure out a way to blame Bush you'll feel secure again.

In the meantime ... Egypt has went from bad to worse, and it true Orwellian fashion the far left is calling this freedom.

You would just love that, wouldn't you?

Not at all.

Egypt has been a key US ally and a rare supporter of peace with Israel in the region.

Now, it doesn't matter if I wanted it or not because it's still reality.

OTOH ... this is what you and the far left were cheering to happen.

Why aren't you happy?

Have the laws of reality reared their ugly heads in your presence again?

It was a nation ran by a democrat, so of course it's a thugocracy.

I was with Bush ... which you of course slavishly opposed ... when he was pushing Mubarak for reforms before.

Then Pharaoh Obama embraced Mubarak which emboldened him to become more aggressive which led to a dissident being beaten and tossed into the street which ignited this all.

Add in that Pharaoh Obama also gave a wink and a nod to the radicals, which emboldened them.

Toss in a state department and regime that never could get on key with each other and you end up where you are.

IF it becomes a military dictatorship the left will ignore that and praise Obama for giving the Egyptians freedom.

Then get in bed with the newly formed dictatorship and ignore any of the atrocities that are performed.

Of course they will.

Again, with the three mottos of the state Orwell predicted the modern day far left's thinking:

IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
WAR IS PEACE

1 - Ignoring reality is a critical requirement for the far left. Instead of logic and the rule of law they prefer fantastic conspiracy theories involving magic bullets, silent thermite bombs, and Obregon-human hybrods operating sould catcher beams between the great pyramid and the Moon.

2 - They abhor actual freedom and adore police states such as Cuba, Iran, Saddam's Iraq, Mao's China, and Uncle Joe's USSR.

3 - They slavishly work to install thugocracies that guarantee future war and lust for the Israeli people to be pushed into the sea and the US republic brought to it's knees.
