After finding last year that <span style='font-size: 17pt'>Europe’s Airbus has, over decades, received more than $20 billion worth of cut-rate government loans and other subsidies</span> to develop new aircraft, international trade regulators Thursday ruled in a parallel case that Boeing received prohibited subsidies, too: about $2.7 billion worth.


The World Trade Organization “has vindicated the view the United States has taken for the last 20 years: that the <span style='font-size: 17pt'>subsidies the Europeans give to Airbus dwarf anything that the U.S. government does for Boeing</span>,” U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk told reporters in Washington on Thursday.

I have to stick up for Snoopy here ... it is a basic tenet of the far left that all nations should act in their best interests, except the USA which should never act in it's own best interests.
