View Full Version : one ball one pocket
how do you start this game? Do you have the OB on the bottom rail and the CB on the spot?

Q ball on center diamond of foot rail frozen to it.The object ball exactly on opposite side frozen to the rail. The player that fouls has to pocket the ball twice to win.It is a good practice routine. start with a kick break by kicking an inch before the side pocket and later adjust based on your style of the stroke.good luck.
I've seen the game played as Vagabond suggests, Jason, but when we played that here (which wasn't often), the game began with the object ball spotted and the cue ball placed in the jaws of the back pocket on the same side as the breaker's pocket. In other words, if he wanted to try cutting the ball in to win outright, he'd have to cut it "backwards" from the back-pocket jaws. That's foolhardy, of course; most breaks either gave the incoming shooter the ball by his own side pocket with the CB on the foot rail, so the most he'd have would be an off-angle "pinch" or three-rail bank. I like that game for the $$$ it has all the excitement of the last ball of one pocket and really trains you on pressure shots
