<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows that 57% believe the president is more politically liberal than they are, while just nine percent (9%) say he is more conservative. Twenty-eight percent (28%) of voters say their political views are about the same as the presidentís. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Twenty-four percent (24%) of voters said last month that they share the president's views, in line with the 26% who said the same last August. The number who say Obama is more liberal than they are is down slightly from 61% in February but is identical to the August finding. </div></div>
OH DEAR! (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/march_2011/28_say_they_share_obama_s_political_views)

That's probably true, because as we all (and Scott Rasmussen) know(s), LIKELY VOTERS are more conservative, and GOP-leaning, than either REGISTERED VOTERS, or ALL ADULTS.

Which is why no one uses the LV screen technique except toward the end of an electoral cycle (say, after Labor Day), EXCEPT Rasumussen (well maybe Zogby).

Using telephone surveying also skews to an older, more conservative demo, since it is landlines, not cell phones, which are being called. Younger people are less reachable on landlines, using cellphones more.

So this headline breaks down to a near-tautology: Obama is far left of a far right sample of the public. Duh? News flash there, LOL!

lww and co, used to brag about their imagined "put-downs" here, on that other site. I have to wonder now, how badly you are faring against both him (and Steve?), in those daily reports?
I have it as "no contest" over here, but I admit to being non-partial when it comes to the "railbirds" here (I have taken a little liberty with that term...instead of watching horses, etc)

I have a more independent minded friend (ok, he's on LWW's political side, but still more neutral an observer) who told me he thought LWW had gotten me once or twice. And I admit I got a few things wrong from time to time. Generally, and being realistic, these guys are still mainly wrong, of course, even when I bring a weaker argument against their positions.

Nobody seems to get that one can have a bad argument for a correct position (usually the case when Limbaugh stumbles into a correct position-- he still has that paralysis of his reasoning skills and so offers bad arguments even then), just as one can have a quite brilliant and difficult to refute argument for a wrong position. (See most of western philosophy until Wittgenstein for examples of this-- you could start with Martin ""Making itself intelligible is suicide for philosophy."
Heidegger but a random pick would probably work as well.)

I was trying to imply that I am not partial when it comes to people like you. You spend an inordinate amount of your? time, trying to put others down, in the misguided belief, that will raise your stature. E.G. lets say that I claim to have a 3 digit IQ, and you "Google" that and discover it's just in the high 90's
, or mid 80's......that doesn't increase your own room temp IQ, one fraction of a decimal point
I have this mental image of you doing just that ROTFLMAO...over everything,....it's like ...when you can't comprehend something, you then think it might have been funny.....
well, laughter might be the best medicine....but oft times here, I think you are the joke????
Instead of trailing Gayle and myself around with your boorish, insults....why not try "selling yourself" as a pundit here...on your own merits? Check out sofalasnapper....he doesn't resort to any of your teen aged insults to get his point across. I also doubt that you'll hear them in any boardroom....if'n you gets my drift.
Trying to compare IQ's is like trying to compare dick sizes. 3 or
4 inches is enough to impregnate.....

I have never even brought up the subject of comparing IQs. You, however, bring it up quite frequently.

I suspect you may be feeling a little bit short changed in that area. It's ok, woofie. You are what you are.

No, I am what I say I am.....
I never felt short changed on my intelligence....however,I have always respected and envied, really intelligent people.
On this board, that would be Ed, Dee, and Soflasnapper.
Nowadays, I'd be lucky to score a "C-" mark in any academic undertaking, but then I have fried my share of brain cells along the way.

My mistake. I thought it was IQ envy. Maybe you got <u>short</u> changed in another area. I really don't know, nor do I care to know. Your problems are yours...don't feel any need to have you share them with the rest of us.

I don't believe, as witnessed by your posts here, that I would have any IQ envy with regards to your intellect, or lack thereof.
AND since it was you that brought the other subject up ....you must really care, or why else would you mention it.....??
It's not something one normally talks about; the size of another man's schlong. Maybe it's you that is embarrassed,? If you have a schlort, I can readily understand.
You make a lot of posts where you bring up some "impolite", rude, offensive, commentary, then try to use that as though it was your target, at the time, that made the comments. It's a pretty "weak" ploy,... and most people see through it. Makes you then look like a jerk, or a jerk***

No, I went back and checked. Sure enough, it was you that brought it up.

Did you not read their methodology (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/about_us/methodology) ... or are you lamely trying to discredit them because Rasmussen is hated by the far left?

Who took credit for authoring TARP? Obama.

Who voted for TARP in the senate? Obama.

Where did I say Obama signed TARP into being? I didn't.

Might I suggest basic remedial English for you?

Also US Civics.

The POTUS does not pass anything into law alone.

It must pass the house, which TARP did with nearly exclusive democrook support. It must pass the senate, which it did with dear leader's vote. It must be signed by the POTUS, which it was.

But, thanks for acknowledging that Bush was a leftists and you hate him solely because you are told to.
