The world's first video game console was the DEC PDP-1 whicha cost $120,000.00 in 1960 and played one game ... SPACEWAR!

It came with .009 megs of RAM and ran at 20.2 MHZ clock speed. It's storage was a paper tape drive.

My first exposure to computers in school was the paper punch card data storage system.

Hanging chads even back in the 60s!

I remember a guy I knew in college dialed the wrong number and got the whistles and clicks of a phone modem. Being that none of us had any idea what this was, we would get a buzz and call it and have in depth debates on whether it was a computer ... or a secret military experiment ... or aliens ... among other things. Eventually a guy with a badge showed up wanting to know why he kept tying up the modem line to the college's computer lab.

and I thought I had it rough playing games on the old Apple IIe!

But really, for the game pictured to have any graphic is pretty cool! Anyone else remember the fun of text based gaming?
