If you have read this far, you were warned.

Quote:

Barack Obama claims time and again that he’s all about making the world more “fair.” But in his budget address last week, Obama unfairly teed off against House Republicans and Paul Ryan for their comprehensive budget proposal. Obama was especially venomous when he ripped apart Ryan’s plans for Medicare, practically accusing the Wisconsin congressman of dumping seniors into the street where they’ll meet their fate in cold, cruel, heartless, money-grubbing fashion.

Don’t believe it for a minute.

In his caustic words and his typically shameless political way, Obama was romancing the “progressives” and independents, all with an eye on gathering their votes in next year’s election. In truth, Ryan’s plans for Medicare are far more reasonable, thoughtful and humane than those Obama himself has postured.

Now, in a most revealing piece (see it in full at http://www.dickmorris.com) entitled “Obama’s Medicare Hypocrisy,” author and political commentator Dick Morris uses facts to distinguish between Obama’s own proposed healthcare legislation and Ryan’s. The differences are stark. You can listen to Obama if you wish. But above all, you should be aware of the truth.

Facts about the Ryan plan:
As Morris points out, Ryan’s proposal does nothing to change or cut any benefits for those now on Medicare or for those who will turn 65 before 2022. The current system will continue exactly as it is until the changes occur in 2021. Of paramount importance, the Ryan plan will let the elderly make their own medical decisions. Each senior gets a Medicare subsidy from the government. They can spend it as they wish – on their own choice of health insurance plans available in the marketplace, ones which will be tailored to the special needs of seniors. And bear this in mind: Savings accrued from Ryan’s plan will be plowed back into Medicare, thus prolonging the program’s fiscal viability.

Facts about the Obama plan:
While Ryan’s cuts have no affect on anyone currently 55 or over, and are not implemented in any case before 2021, Obama’s cuts would be enacted immediately. The Obama plan begins with a hard spending cap on Medicare – the first of its kind – slicing some $70 billion out of Medicare’s shrinking budget right away (that cut is in addition to the $500 billion he’ll take from Medicare in order to finance his pride — and our travesty — ObamaCare).

Even worse is this: Per Obama, seniors have virtually no say in determining the path or course of their healthcare. Obama’s cuts will be administered by an Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). This group of 15, appointed directly by Obama, will make recommendations for cuts in Medicare services and reductions in reimbursements. Their decisions are not subject to congressional approval. They take effect strictly by administrative fiat. We have ObamaCare. Now we have ObamaLaw. Make no mistake about it; as Morris explains, the IPAB is “the rationing board that will decide who gets what care.”

And as for the savings that might be accrued through this “process,” Obama, unlike Ryan, will not deposit them back into Medicare. Morris says Obama will divert those funds into paying for new entitlements for younger people.

But here’s the worst of all: The IPAB will make their decisions based upon the utterly impersonal, futuristic and nightmarish concept of Quality Adjusted Life Years (QUALYS). Here’s how it works: If you have enough QUALYS ahead of you, the board might see fit to approve you for a heart transplant, a knee replacement or any other procedure as needed. Don’t have enough QUALYS according to Obama’s board? You might be out of luck. Morris says it all, chillingly, with this: “If death comes sooner, well, that’s the price of aging in Obama’s America.” And that’s quite a price to pay.

It’s time for every American at long last to be responsible. That means learning the facts as they really are (as opposed to accepting “the facts” as provided by Mr. Obama). Most important, remember those facts when you consider which way you’ll vote in the election of 2012.

TRUTH (http://www.thedcpost.com/?p=7631) ... like Kryptonite to statists.

LOL...Dick Morris..................LMAO

Quote:

Of paramount importance, the Ryan plan will let the elderly make their own medical decisions.

They have that now. Under the Ryan plan, HC companies will again by telling them what they can and can't have.

Quote:

There's nothing false about the claim that Ryan's plan would end Medicare as we know it. In fact, it's unambiguously true. Currently, Medicare is a government-run insurer that pays the health-care costs of all senior citizens. Under Ryan's plan, senior citizens would be given vouchers that they could use toward private insurance. Poor seniors would get more-generous vouchers, and rich seniors would get less-generous vouchers. The way Ryan saves money is by holding the growth of the vouchers beneath the growth of health-care costs, so as care costs more and more, the vouchers cover less and less.

...and seniors would have to pay more and more.

Quote:

WASHINGTON — Seniors and people with disabilities would pay much more for Medicare under a new plan by Republicans in the House of Representatives that's aimed at curbing the nation's growing budget deficit, a Congressional Budget Office analysis shows.

For example, by 2030, typical 65-year-olds would be required to pay 68 percent of the cost of their coverage, which includes premiums, deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs, according to the CBO. They'd pay 25 percent under current law, the CBO said.

The way you avoid it ... I assume it must be painful to you.

Now, did you actually have anything to contribute on the topic dear leader crucifying the elderly and the poor?

It does seem to run counter to his claims of such a high IQ, doesn't it?

He pulled that on AZB ... so did aitch ... so did Superstar ... and upon their implication that they were in possession of a superior IQ to myself, I challenged each of them to a IQ test administered by an uninvolved third party in a neutral city. Loser to pay the winner $1K plus travel expenses, table time and bar bill afterwards.

All three ran behind the couch and hid.

What's funny is that I have to the best of my knowledge never stated on either forum what I usually score.

And, before the cabal twists things ... I am not bragging, I was simply showing woofing trolls to be woofing trolls.
