Perky

Although primarily a painter... these days have enjoyed doing a bit of ceramic/mixed media sculpture primarily based on an "Underwater Fantasy Fish" theme. This particular sculpture I created for my grandson. His father is an avid hunter and his bedroom is done in a hunting style theme with numerous moose images he really enjoys.

The Moosky as seen in it's natural habitat... not to be confused with the more common sportfish Musky. The Moosky is a little known and rarely seen Canadian sport fish. The specimen exhibited here is clearly an adolescent, as noted by its relatively undeveloped rack... often referred to by the more diminutive term, “Moosquito Moosky”. Adults have been know to reach an extreme size... and it is not unheard of for some unfortunate anglers, having hooked one of the larger adult Mooskies to have their boat sunk after having the hulls stove in by the antlers of the maddened fish.
