I always like it when you tell your stories! They are so much better coming from you!
Here's the same approach if LWW was reporting on the Dallas/OKC game, with a few ticks left in regulation-- OKC still is dominating, having never trailed in this game!
Problem: Dallas had by then cut a 15 point lead in the 4th to 2 points, and had the ball to tie or go ahead. Everyone in the building or watching the game knew that OKC was in trouble and was in danger of losing the game at that point, as the eventual tie to force overtime proved to be the case.
This relates to this purported example of Dems in trouble in about the same way. The Dems have been trailing in the generic ballot since Oct. 09. But what is the trend? The trend is that the Dems have trimmed the margin to just 2%, the lowest during that time, and likely within the margin of error (which Rasmussen helpfully omits to mention), which is to say they appear to be really either tied or even ahead, and with momentum. That is the clear takeaway from Scottie's numbers, even without remembering he uses an unusual and unique methodology that always overstates things on the GOP side by 4-5% relative to what a more standard technique of measurement would find.
So, when Dallas cut the OKC lead to 2 points, were they tanking in the game, or surging in the game? Tanking, according to LWW and Scottie; surging, according to everyone else, and probably ahead even now.

It's obvious The Weenie himself doesn't believe this level of weenie-poop polling... otherwise he wouldn't be continuing to run and hide down his weenie-poop hole. If on any level h bought into these bogus stats he leap at the opportunity to make any wager on the downfall of President Obama in 2112. The fact that he continues to avoid this gives yet more (as if any further proof was necessary /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ) proof to the fact...
The Weenie lives in a world of weenie-poop...
/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif (but you already knew that ) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
...it is hardly surprising since...
The Weenie’s political opinions are weenie-poop
...his logic is weenie-poop
...his level of integrity is weenie-poop
...he is blinded by weenie-poop
Good point, because on day #2 dear leader was at +30 points.
Since then he has managed to stretch that to a -10 points
