Nice to see that the source of the Kerry family money is laying off US workers, and looking to expand in China and Russia.

I guess it still comes down to the almighty dollar.

Damn Corporate Facist PIGS!

Kerry is a hero for the non-thinkers in this country so he has nothing to worry about. That facist pig should be hiring twice as many US workers and paying them $20/hr to watch bottles get filled with ketchup. Doesn't he know they all have families they need to support?

An ill-informed statement, that.

She doesn't own the company, substantially divesting the inherited stock shares from trust holdings back in the '90s, has no management control or corporate office holding, and has no involvement whatsoever in whatever the company does.

The management underwent a proxy battle for control some years back now.

This thread of yours is pointless, when the truth is that Teresa Heinz has no position in or control of the company, AND KERRY HAS NO PART OF HER INHERITANCE MONIES (the pre-nup made all their holdings they came into the marriage with separate holdings).

Cheney had his plan, before he left Halliburton, and was paid in advance, of his leaving, in the form of a huge bonus.

There is plenty of proof, that Cheney wanted to occupy Iraq, for the benefit of oil contracts, while he was in the private sector.

Go look on the "Project For The New American Century" and see who signed it.

Many of them ended up working for the Bush Administration, and also were on record for an Iraq Invasion, and the removal of Saddam, who was their main barrier to Iraqi oil.

I suppose you aren't aware of all of the billions upon billions Halliburton, and the Carlyle group, both linked to the Bush Family, and to halliburton, made off the illegal invasion, and occupation, of Iraq????

Not that you'd be informed about any of that, but Greenspan surely was.....

"My understanding of the invasion of Iraq, is that it was about oil."

Cheney still has a lot of money coming his way from Halliburton, roughly $50 million in stock options that he's owed. What their value will be relates to the stock price, the company's profits being the key ingredient there.

Now Cheney has said he will donate the proceeds of cashing in those stock options to charity. Guess what? He still makes more money that way if the stock options are more valuable.

He'll recapture about 35% of the value of that donation as a tax savings against other income's taxes due.

So, no of course he's not running the company. He's just in line to receive additional millions of dollars depending on how well the company is profiting, quite a conflict of interest.
