My boss has asked me to do research on opening a billiard room (she knows how I love to play pool) but I don't know have a clue on where to start. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Btw, the suggested site is 6000 sq. feet.
Thanks,
lb

Good evening:

I am certain that Brunswick, Gabriel and many of the other table manufacturers will have information which will prove useful to your needs.

Since no one posted- ill tell u couple of things to get you started though ive never opened a room

You need 250 sq ft for each nine foot table. You need from 10-35% non pool space depending on whether u have a bar, kitchen etc. You can lease tables rather than buy them. Unless you are in one of the big cities you need 2 parking spots per table. You need a Pool hall friendly local government. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will tell you more.

Tom Shaw wrote the best book about opening a room. He has everything you need in the book. Check with the BCA (Billiard Congress of America).
