How do the States elect their legislators, judges and sheriffs?

That is not the definition of a democracy.

Under the American republic, officials are elected to do a particular job so long as they follow the COTUS.

If you look at the 2 major US parties, the roots of their ideology are clear.

"DEMOCRATS" were founded on the premise that the majority could inflict their will upon the minority. That's why they have always promoted some type of mob mentality ... racial discrimination ... class discrimination ... ad infinitum.

The "REPUBLICANS" OTOH were founded on the premise that all were equal before the law.

Actually I do, but due to the woeful lack of historical knowledge so commonly displayed here I went with the traditional mythical image that the cabal seems to prefer.
