I think all fines like these should be greatly increased. If people are going to break the law then I have no problem with them paying a bunch of money.

Serious question ... who represents the greater danger to society:

1 - The guy driving a $200K Ferrari at 100 MPH who can afford to keep it in perfect tune and likely has attended at least one high performance driving school?

2 - A hillbilly driving a 1985 Silverado with a bent rim, 2 tires out of balance, 185,000 on the odometer and questionable brakes driving 100 MPH?

If they are in an accident what does it really matter? But to answer your question, I believe it number 1. People like that have little care about others on the road. They act like they own the place and because of their money they can do whatever they want. Also, your hillbilly is probably going to hurt much less people because he is probably going that fast out in the country somewhere where he can only hurt himself. The idiot going 100 in the Ferrari is doing it on Rodeo drive where he could kill many people.
