View Full Version : Seeking info about book by "Peter Rabbit"

09-19-2002, 07:34 AM
"Peter Rabbit" wrote a book about his experiences as a road player and gambler. Can anybody tell me the author's real name or the book's exact title? I want to buy a copy of the book, and I can't locate one without this info.

Thanks for your help.

And I thought you were kidding /ccboard/images/icons/smile.gif...you may want to go to www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) and do a search under the authors name...

I think the title was something like "Getting by without working" It may have been self published and may not have had very many copies printed. It was terrible by the way.

The book is titled, "How to get by Without Working." Subtitle, "A Hustler's Memoirs." Copywrite, 1983. The author's real name is Peter Linhard. Hope this helps.

The publisher was Dorrance & Company. I'll admit it wasn't a great book, but it had a few choice stories and did seem to reflect how life on the road was back in those days.
