View Full Version : Repig Majority Destroys Job Growth

WASHINGTON (AP) Employers added no net workers last month and the unemployment rate was unchanged, a sign that many were nervous the U.S. economy is at risk of slipping into another recession.

The Labor Department says total payrolls were unchanged in August, the weakest report in almost a year. It's the first time since February 1945 that the government has reported a net job change of zero. The unemployment rate stayed at 9.1 percent.

A strike by 45,000 Verizon workers lowered the job totals. Those workers are back on the job.

Job gains in June and July were revised lower, to show 57,000 fewer jobs added. The downward revisions were all in government jobs. The average work week also declined and hourly earnings fell by 3 cents to $23.09.

You guys did absolutely nothing and you had every chance possible.

The American people saw the Dem failures for what they were and decided yet again they wanted "Change". Now that you don't have a blank check any more you want to blame the group that is doing its best to slow your nonsense.

Is 57 Senators an absolute majority ?

Usually in a Democratic system , yes. Not according to the GOP though.

Can't reason with sheep.

The crash happened on Bush's watch, after his boy Greenspan, a Repiglican ignored the warnings of a Democratic woman, Brooksly Born, who told them exactly what was going to happen, if they didn't stop the hidden, dark, corrupt market, and their shady goings on. Greenspan smashed her.

Repiglican policies are all about deregulation, and have been for decades.

Without Bush's "Ownership Society" and Greenspan's, laissez Faire economics, without regulatory oversight, and his attitude, that he didn't care about FRAUD in the market, and maintaining irresponsibly low interest rates, which flamed the Real Estate Bubble, the crash would never have happened.

SEC souce, when asked why they didn't come down harder on the shady dealings that led to the crash...."It would have been against the president's (ownership society) policies."

Without the Bush Tax cuts, and his mismanaged, illegal War in Iraq, the grand theft by the Bush/Cheney corporate cronies to whom they gave no bid contracts, and the Repiglican Bank check Congress's unprecedented spending and borrowing, the deficits wouldn't have made us impotent to deal with Bush's multi-level disastrous failures.

We couldn't even handle a damn hurricane, his administration was so dysfunctional.

Five former Secretaries of State, from both parties, called his invasion of Iraq, the worst foreign policy decision in history.

Our own National Security Estimate, of 16 Government Agencies, found that his War On Terror, and his torture policies, emboldened our enemies, and franchised their operations all over the world.

The most respected Economissts on both sides, stated that cutting taxes, during war time, was a disastrous mistake, even Greenspan, says the Bush tax cuts should be repealed!

The fact is the crash was a done deal, before Democrats ever took the majority. By the end of 06, the crash could not be prevented.

The right is still in denial, and illogically they think more of the same failed policies that put us into this ditch, will cure our economic problems.

Repiglican Policies, have destroyed this country, increased and enflamed our enemies, and put our country at greater risk.

Then, they turned right around and filibustered the recovery, admitting that their main goal, in the midst of the Bush worst recession, and worst legacy ever left to a President since the great Depression, was for more political power, to make this president a one term president.

The polling numbers show that American's two lowest confidence numbers were...

number one, after katrina,

and number two, the Repiglican created Debt ceiling crises, which hurt not only our economy, but the global economy.

They are PIGS! They must be stopped!

He doesn't even understand the words he used.

50 would be an absolute majority being that VPOTUS Biden would be the tie-breaking vote.

60 is the number needed to bring a vote into being. A rule written by the democrooks.

And your gueys were the ones who created the disasters, we're trying to recover from, with twelve years of Republican control, and six of the last years, with a Repiglican President, who borrowed more than all previous administrations, combined, and put us into a trade trick bag, borrowing from a communist country, that owns us now.

The Crash happened on Bush's watch. The recession was worse than we knew originally. Much of Bush's spending, is still secret, we don't even have the tally.

Repiglicans broke the earmark record.

Bush launched two wars, and didn't pay for either of them.

The crash was a result of DEREGULATORY REPIGLICAN POLICIES, corruption on Wall St., predatory lending, all of which Bush et al, were warned about, and it was beyond saving after late 06, before the Dems won the majority, IOW< completely a REpiglican creation! All under total Repiglican control, from 2001, through 2006.

Wake up Sherlock!
Wealthy sepculators, were the culprits, not average earners.

I find it hard to believe that even you are this incredibly stupid.

The vote you have linked to was not ... let this sink in through the cement to to the pea sized proto-brain that the regime allows you to possess ... was not the vote for OBAMACARE as you falsely claim.

What you have linked to is the vote on the PORKULUS bill.

Now, I realize that you are simply an Obamatron who believes that all things which spring from the regime are equally awesome ... but these are two distinctly different votes on two issues.
