Republicans have adamantly blocked what they view as new taxes. As recently as last month, House Republicans refused to go along with any deal to raise the government's borrowing authority that included new revenues, or taxes. </div></div>

Two morons nodding in agreement. Its sad.

Obama <span style='font-size: 14pt'>campaigned</span> on no more tax cuts for the elite.
When the BUSH TAX CUTS were set to expire, like they were supposed to and were agreed upon <u>by both parties</u>, they GOP went back on the deal.

'You can't raise taxes during a recession.' they cried.

Obama offered a compromise, keep the breaks for the middle class but the elite have to pay their fair share.

So what happened/ cast your mind back or look it up. The GOP said,

"If there are no tax cuts for the elite, <span style='font-size: 14pt'>we will let the bill expire and <u>RAISE TAXES ON EVERYONE.</u></span>"

Basically they said you can't raise taxes, it would be a disaster but we will do it if we don't get our way. Just the the TP/GOP RW on the debt ceiling issue/ formality as it used to be know.


Obama caved.

He is POTUS. He signs all bills. It doesn't mean to say he owns them.
