I saw Rich and Cathy too! I hope Rich got the shot of Alex jumping into Rodney's arms after the finals. I think it happened right in front of them.

The stream was really great. I think Al, Jerry and Mike all do a great job in commentating.

Hey Wendy! Where are you hanging out these days? Still shooting pool?

Hi Fran!!!

I don't play anymore and haven't done so since 2005/2006. When I think of pool nowadays, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth but when I think of how it was when I was playing, it makes me smile. The last time I stepped into a poolhall was with 2-ball Naz at Master's last July and I could not help but wonder what the hell happened to the place. I know they're closed now but it looked like it went to hell in a hand basket! I was really taken aback! Anyway, I still get my IP and BD mags and am on the streams to watch matches but that's as close to being in pool as I get. I've never been a fan of cliques and the sort and it seems that pool is clique crazy! Not for me. There are extremely rare spurts when I want to play but I wish I could go somewhere where there aren't any memories.

Aww come on Wendy, pull up your thong and get back into the game ;-) You've had enough time on the bench.

I've missed you and wondered what happened. Don't let a personal relationship kill another love...pool. Pool helps, it is always there, like a warm blanket on a chilly evening's night. Gayle will be happy to see you back Kiddo! sid

LOL There's a bunch of stuff that keeps me away from pool and it had been culminating from years ago.

Fran, Alex had me laughing so hard, I didn't even think about picking up the camera. Hopefully, Pat will have it on the DVD for all to see.

If I knew everyone was watching, I would have dressed better. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

I hope you can make it, Mike. WE always have fun.

I saw Rich and Cathy on the stream, several times too. I noticed that Cathy was wearing a light blanket. I take it hte a/c was a lil breezy, lol?

I also saw that middle aged couple that goes to the open, too; grey haired guy and blond wife that never seems to stop smiling??

Eric >I mean, permanant smile

Eric, the tournament room was like a meat locker. Even some of the players were complaining about the cold. Fortunately, we have run into this situation before and Cathy never goes to a big tournament without her blanket.

It's always like that in that room. It could be 100 degrees outside and you have to dress for winter inside.

I learned my lesson. If I ever go back, I'm wearing a parka.

And while you're at it, don't forget a ski mask with a nose protector. My nose was so cold I didn't know what to do other than wrap something around my face, which I wasn't about to do, so I suffered.

That sounds pretty comfortable for me, lol.

I think I"ll try to play the tourney next year. I've nvr been to Turning Stone and summertime in upstate NY ain't bad. Much much better than the dead of winter. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Although a ski mask would definitely do the trick, I think I will have to suffer too. I don't think the wearing of a ski mask around a casino is a great idea. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif
