Having long been a fan of Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, and not having read his masterpiece "A History of English Speaking Peoples" ... 4 volumes and about 2,000 pages total if my memory serves me right ... in over 30 years I started searching for a hard cover edition for my book collection.

I will confess that I know next to nothing about the value of old books, even though I have quite a few, as I don't dabble in them to resell but to read and keep.

Anyways, I stumbled upon a first edition ... at least one volume ... set from the 1950's that are apparently in reasonably good shape.

I doubt that I will resell them ... but I suspect they might be worth a multiple of the $30.50 including shipping that I coughed up.
